I had an inspection today and the tech never took it on a road test. Hooked up to a computer and 10 minutes later I was on the road with my paperwork saying I passed.

Very neat video I was honestly curious what my car might go through for inspection when I give them the keys other than they drive it. Although I live in Texas so not sure what differences there are in their inspection policies but I assume a lot of similarities especially for items that are for safety def don’t have as much concern regarding tires and snow 😂

Seems like a scam, sure having a safe car is important, but having a safe driver behind the wheel is even a greater issue 🤯

So my sons 2006 impreza just failed the OBD test at my local Subaru garage. They said every monitors has to be " READINESS ". But when I look up Saf-C 3222.03 on the State of NH page is says rejected if " A scan of the OBD system reveals a " not ready" status for 2 or more monitors on manufacture years 2001 and newer". I checked with my scan tool at home and only the Evap was not ready. And I talked to my buddy and he asked a mechanic friend of his and he said you were allowed one. So I'm a little confused. I would think the state info would be the correct one.

Why you didn't check front side of the rotor? It can be bad 😅

What about body rust? I have a car with rust around the rear wheel wells and am planning on moving to NH.

Hi thank you for the video. If I have a muffler delete, but I still have a catalytic converter and a resonator, would that pass inspection?

Depends where you go my car passes inspection with muffler delete and resonator delete with tinted window valid till 2024 so that’s definitely not true at all just depends what shop your going to if your at a big corporation chance are they might not pass you compared to a small local city shop

Question when you plug in the ob2 reader for the test would the test show if your ecu vin does not match you frame / regustration vin because i have a junk yard ecu that works good but the vin is diffrent from the one that is on the frame and registration you can see it with a code reader with the vin read function and idk if this would pass the emissions test when you plug in the obd2 reader from the emissions tester pls lmk cause i dont wanna waste money on test if it would be useless

If the vehicle requires obd inspection the vin in ecu is what is recognized. Not always caught by the inspection machine but may be flagged in an audit by the state layer. Kind of wonky system as operator will not see it at the shop. The state however periodically checks this to catch people using different cars to cheat on emissions.

Most windows are electric if your battery is destroyed in an accident they aren't going to function! Some in the rear only going down 1/4 to halfway anyways testing them is moot and another way to rip off a customer! Inspection law on this needs to change and or garages need to apply common sense.

While in very specific circumstances you are correct in that power loss will prevent operation. If the accident is that severe being able to roll down windows is probably the least of your worries. Having non functional windows is and can be a severe annoyance in every day use particularly drivers window. However you are also correct unless the law is changed we need to follow it or risk fines and loss of licenses. Any state inspection station can and are audited on on ongoing bases for compliance. So until the law changes need to continue to check the windows.
