That's not on the state inspection report. You don't require license plates for that.

Plates are painted with reflective material which makes it easier for a cop on the side of the road with radar to check your speed. The plate is what they aim for.

Stupidest law vehicle law ever. Not everyone can afford a vehicle in that good condition. Just because the check engine light is on, doesn't mean the vehicle is gonna die. Sometimes it's the age. Not everyone has that kind of money. To me that was made to control you and empty your bank account.

No, it means more money in our pockets, where it belongs. Inspection stations are notorious for charging for adjusting headlights that don't need adjusting to charge you for unnecessary fees.

Emissions test for older vehicles = PITA ! $$$ Catalytic converters are EXPENSIVE !

Listen to what he said they check 1:16 he said nothing about the check engine light but without checking anything if you have a check engine light on you automatically fail. Yall brought this on yourselves. Being shady looking for any reason to fail some one. A gas cap loose really fail.

You're not paying for a safety check in 2025. Only emissions fee of $7.50. Also, the safety check is very simplistic to begin with. You could, literally, do all the checks yourself and you should be doing it yourself throughout the year. They don't even lift the car to do a visual inspection under the vehicle, if they're lube shops. An automotive store-chain will generally do a multipoint inspection for free (with a service like an oil change or tire repair; maybe less), because it's in their best interest.

A good transportation Bill to write U.S. Congress is a mandate to eliminate steering wheel airbags and passenger dashboard airbags. The unnecessarily scratch and injure people on small collisions. Large collisions its difficult to say if they even work that much. They will also block the view of the driver on lighter collisions. The seat belt should be good enough. Also a mandate at the automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturing plant, to install motion sensors on the front end of all motor vehicles. Some semi-trucks already have them installed. The sensor disengages the accelerator of the vehicle approaching another vehicle in the same lane at 20 to 30 yards. A Better distance to set it at is around 40 to 50 yards. This spreads out the traffic flow, eliminates tailgating and will reduce many wrecks.

In Texas that missing front Texas plate gives the cops a reason to pull you over. It would be cheaper to make one plate that stays with the driver tho.

That's a win for people who don't have the money to pay for Auto Inspection Fees. Its sad for the Mechanic making a living but, its one less thing to worry about. Especially, with Auto Insurance going up and gas prices increase. 😄😄😄🚘👍👍

Please inspect the tires and brakes. Too many uninsured drivers too. They will slam into your rear and not be forced to reimburse you. Abbott doesn't have this to worry about.

In Massachusetts once a car reaches a certain age I think about 15 years old it's exempt from emissions testing.

Thank God I'm good with cars I'm not gonna have no problem with that and my family... At less they drop the amount price on that bcuz everything else is expensive....

Now that drop down to $7.50 just to renew Mayne I ain't wasting a lot of money now but for other people I feel bad for them

@@chriswinslet6696 The $7.50 is a fee for checking if your emission compliant. To be honest, if you're relying on a state inspection to make sure your vehicle is safe...then you're doing it wrong. You could easily do most of these test yourself. Checking your lights and oil should at least be done once a week (or every other week). Also, I have never ever seen a state inspection lift my car up to make sure everything is fine and they're not going to visually check your brake properly (which can require taking tires off). That's something you have to request from the shop.

I don't think you understand. They're stealing $7.50. I don't live in an emissions testing county. They aren't giving me a service for that $7.50 if there is no safety inspection. They better just keep it in place.

Any vehicle that can't pass the emissions test is not long for this earth the plugs will foul the converter will plug up or the ignition will short circuit the computers or the tires will leave it stranded.
