He loved the gentle hands .. he almost looks like a Yorkshire terrier. I’m on my fifth rescue with Yorkies. They are very stubborn and headstrong. They seem to be one of them most abused dogs in the country or the world

That little baby they trotting around is trotted around to keep the women's salaries in $125-150,000 give to the babies in your area

​@Meankitten I rescue dogs and cats here in Italy, there are hundreds and thousands that need a home and more keep coming. The cost of the food and health care is huge. You obviously don't have a clue how much money and even time it takes for just one dog or cat. At the beginning of the month, we spent 2,500 euro on treatment for one dog with cancer and two weeks ago 1,000 euro for hypothyroidism in a cat. We are not a charity, we use our own money but we can't rescue them all and that's just here in Italy. I have deep respect for Eldad and those st HFP, it's not easy.

@@meankitten101 Many local rescues are small and the dogs are fostered with no central location. Balooja's seems family run and since their address is a UPS Box, they do not have a central facility. Many of the places near me on the East coast are run this way. All volunteer and private homes. They can only foster as many dogs as the volunteer's homes can support. This is not a city run shelter. They save dogs from the put down lists at these city run shelters. I got my dog from a high kill shelter and it took about $3500 to get him healthy. He was badly infected and honestly probably wouldn't have survived the weekend. Also remember too that the families who foster have day jobs and this isn't their work. If you are talking about Hope for Paws they do not foster. They rescue, help with initial medical services and then find local rescues to send the dogs to get fostered.
