In my state people don't care so much about banana tree just plant it. And it will grow from one to many giving fruits and more fruit. we never use any kind of manure or fertilizers or NPK

Depends on the banana species, Ice Cream bananas are a more cold hardy variety that can be cultivated whenever in a warmer climate, however cavendish and grand nain bananas (common bananas) should be planted in warmer times of the year in my opinion
