The leaves helps in manufacturing food through photosynthesis when they still green. You are not supposed to cut them please

I commend you for your passion and excellent work as well as for your top agronomical advice. But please sir, avoid cutting off your plantain leaves before they become yellow. You need as many healthy green leaves as possible. We get carbohydrates from photosythesis taking place in the leaves.

Greetings from here friend, good to know you’re doing great as a banana farmer. You’ve got good varieties of banana plants. Wishing you the very best. I have basically cavendish, known as (iron seed banana) here in eastern Nigeria.

GOOD work. but i can see that you prune the fresh leaves too, in that case it may shoot small bunches. prune the dry ones only. thank you.

Smiles. He did a good thing by prunning them that way. If you want a good yield from whatever you plant, you must prune.

You have done a good job. Please how do empty palm fruit bunches benefit the banana/plantain plants?

Thanks friend, they play a good roll during the development and yielding of the plant. But they are more beneficial when burnt and applied as wood ash; in this case they can massively boost your banana yield. I will make more research while I teach and throw more light on that. Thanks for reaching out. Please do subscribe, share and like our videos 👍

To plant your suckers, please prepare your hole in this size: 1ft deep, and at least 30inches in diameter. This is ideal for suckers less than 3months old.

I really appreciate your work and I feel inspired. From a 4 plots of Land like yours which of the Banana or plantain is best to cultivates, for the Well you dig are you going to use pumping machine for the Irrigation? Also like what is the return will look like I mean approximately per harvest from this 4plots. Thank you

Thank you greatly, I appreciate you immensely. You have smart questions here, alright, cavendish banana is good variety, this is what I have in my farm and they’re wonderful. For irrigation, yes I will install water pump, which will be connected to a tank. drip irrigation is very nice due to water conservation; this will save your farm lots of water. For your return on investment, I will love to know your location but I will advise you start first while you learn from experience.
