I've been following StarTalk for quite a while now, say about 5-6 years. And considering I have massive respect for Neil deGrasse and he and his knowledge are the main reasons I click on the videos, I have to say Chuck became this major part in this, to the point where I would probably stop watching if Chuck left this chemistry they have created together. Used to think "who is this clown?" many many years ago and sometimes I still have that feeling where I shout at the screen "let Neil speak, you buffoon!", but in the end that is the secret ingredient behind all of this. So, yeah Chuck, if you read this, you CAN and most likely ARE someone's hero around here, that guy that some people look up to and hope one day they can be YOU. And it's something you deserve to be praised for, I mean you're working with one of the greatest, brightest minds alive, it would be so easy to be overshadowed by Neil and end up "just the buffoon that read the questions", but you're not, you are a smart guy that can keep the pace with Neil while crackin' jokes, and it's impressive. Something I and 99% of us could not manage.

Hollister David thank you for stating the obvious... It is obviously an extremely hard field to study in, and how are you going to say that he is often wrong even though he has a PhD in Astrophysics. If he didn't know what he was talking about then he would not have gotten a PhD because you kind of need to know and understand a lot to get one.

Hollister David And if you think he makes so many mistakes then stop watching his videos because it must then be a waste of your time, and why don't you just leave us inspired people alone because all that matters is what he is trying to do, is to inspire more people to get into science as a whole. He isn't expecting everyone to go and get a PhD but to just develop their curiosity of the universe.

I love Star Talk and I've been watching these discussions fairly recently. I've seen Neil talk way back on other occassions. *And let me say, having Chuck on these makes it way more interesting. He is really smart and an intellectual being. He learns fast and has good memory too, which every student, a teacher or a common man would like to have, but only a few can actually be. Being street smart and book smart, together, is tough. And Neil is the epitome of that and Chuck, a novice, is a natural pro.* He can actually keep up with Neil and even amaze him at times. And not to mention he makes good jokes that makes the viewer more relaxed and receptive to information and ideas. *Chuck sometimes gives a new dimension or new attribute to some topics of discussion, which surprises Neil every time.* A comedian is smart in the way that he observes, deduces, interprets and connects certain things that common people fail to notice. And Chuck here is an above average intelligent comedian, which we don't see often. *And I like that Neil is a bit more down to earth with Chuck around.* Because as talented and genius Neil is, I hate it whenever he gives that sense that others are always wrong and he is always right. He is not always right. And I see him accepting that a bit more, (maybe Chuck has some influence). *So yea I learn a lot from these two men. Thank you!*

i wholeheartedly believe that Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson is the articulate equivalent to a poet describing his ode to existence...the passion Dr. Tyson wields as he joins words together using an intellectual algorithm that he has is and always will be perfecting is intense, his need for us to comprehend what we know as well as what we don't is second to none. his genuality is a breath of fresh air .. i love that he shares his personality with us with out holding back... .......Here's To, "Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson" one of the good guys....
