I admit that a technical person might just glance at the video titles without realizing they should watch them all. Everything looks so well thought out. I appreciate that you have so many videos and care so much about your software.

Dang it!!! What a beautiful comment!! Thanks for that!!! We really did try to stop everyone and go “hey…if you’re logging in…etc etc” stop them in the natural flow of things to teach. Given browser automation is such a new thing ya know
Needed this video. Companies forget all the tools we use, we have to learn and need these videos. Nearly refunded this tool because of the fucking learning curve.

Haha yeah I hear you!!!
LOL... YES! This is exactly what I wanted... So first, thank you!!! I'm the person asking the chapter long questions over at the Sumo! (BTW, I'm not sure where YOU would most like me to post my questions, but I would be happy to do so if you tell me elsehwere.) AND... indeed, I am that type with tech background that I over-complicate things, which is why I hate the iPhone... because I cannot figure out the simplicity of it! SO.... THIS WAS very HELPFUL... I like your sense of humor and REPETITIVE aspect of yes, "It says right here... blah de blah...." With my praise and gratitude expressed... I continue on my mission to learn how to do this. TO BE CLEAR, I DID try to follow the instructions... and I THOUGHT I WAS reading the instructions and following them (HENCE, why the repetitive explanation and emphasis in this video on the critical elements is valuable). I do want to point out at 5:34 when you mention my "NO CLUE" comment... I was NOT referring to the basics at that point which you say, "I don't know how else to tell you..." --------------- As my comment shows, I was referring to the "already prepared" automations... and that I had clicked on those and had no clue on how to use those. The point being... Just like you didn't "carefully" read what I wrote where I was referring to the prepared automations at that point, and thought you were doing your absolute best, I was also doing my best to follow as I was going along but little things get missed when you THINK you're doing it right -- which is why this REPETITIVE video for the launch is so helpful -- Here, you cover HOW to do it... the mistakes people make... the reason someone might think this or that and why it's right or wrong... you slightly belabor it and that is GOOD for us NEWBIES! It was perfect! Once you get into advanced automations, people know the process, so you just say "get this step here" and enter this text here and so on.... ALSO ... for some reason... when I followed the steps in this FLUID presentation, it got me past some of the hang-ups before when I could swear I did the same thing! But having this FLUID video over to the steps.... somehow I didn't mess it up in some tiny but important little way along the way, such as when I THOUGHT I did the right cookie before and did the app, but it didn't log me in.... but this time it did. So thanks.... I at least know the basics now... and I can try to do a basic scrape.... before getting too complex. The only thing I didn't necessarily see was how to save... but I think I just need to click "I'm done." Thanks again.... and keep up the good work on your sardonic attitude.... I'm seeing myself and how I deal with my own clients in my business and it makes me laugh... at the same time I'm learning.

Thanks to your diligence and thoughtfulness in drafting your questions, we've all benefited from this "TaskMagic for Dummies" version of the intro. I love that you asked the questions we didn't even know we needed answers to, and Jeremy meticulously went over every detail to ensure none of us would be newbies after this video. The only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask. TaskMagic is really taking ownership of this product and making sure everyone knows how to use it. I'm noticing that the only limitations are the user and the processing power of our own systems. In other words, the sky's the limit.

Jeremy, in the video you recommend another video, and yet another... hopefully I can remember all those. I wrote at least 3 emails with the same frustration as OP. But I did watch all the videos and tutorials. A lot of them were so fast and advanced and not geard towards beginning web scraper automators. The fact that you have PHDs, coders, crm automation experts saying with the available tutorials they can't "get it" should be alarming to you guys. You've mentioned over and over that's it's simple. So why are ppl so "confused"? I'd create a series called foundations. That pain stakingly goes over each feature, button, option you have in the software. Not only explain it but give 3 use case examples. Another idea is have a community of users that can help. (Not sure if you've launched something) I've given up on TM for a few months until all this gets sorted. Another idea paid hotline. I would've paid someone just to solve my issue.

15:05 How you can help more? Maybe you conduct a beginner workshop (it could be an automated one). Give BASIC things to solve. Like: "Create a flow in order to log in to your Facebook account." "Create a flow in order to log in to your twitter account". Those who experience difficulties, give them the opportunity to share their screen and help them live. Afterwards, give things to solve which are slightly more difficult. And so on. If you start such a workshop, say every 3 month, for free, I am quite sure you will win so many happy new customer that you have to buy a new safe to store the newly gained money. ;-)

@@TheJeremyRedman Yes, I am.
12:10 Not my question, but a question I am sure many, many newbies cannot answer respectively do not understand why you trigger this AFTER the recording. Common sense says: step 1, step 2, step 3 and so on. But in reality, it often is not linear, because variables have to be inserted afterwards, maybe some waiting time and so on. You guys are the ultimative experts, but MILLIONS of potential customers are not (yet). I conducted first aid courses for 10 years. I am quite sure you have no idea how many mistakes I experienced in, from my sight, very, very basic steps. The more mistakes you experience, the better you become in avoiding them through better teaching. To be completely honest: I have been frustrated in using TaskMagic many times. And I am not criticising you or TaskMagic. If I don't know how sth. works, I rewatch videos, search for other videos, test things out etc. until I succeed. I studied computer sciences and I know how to code. Never the less I would not describe me as tech-lover. So I am testing, give it a try, watch another tutorial etc. From my experience I know there are not many people so committed as I am.

Is it possible to update a column with a scrape instead of a row. Automation= 1. google sheet with an url in kolom B, i first recorded one url manually and added the list later. 2. scrape a tekst from the url page and add it in kolom A of the same sheet 3. the tekst scrape is appended in a row beneath the url in kolom B in kolom A so the url is in row 2, but the scrape from that url is being sent to row 3 in column A And another question Can we update a cell/ column instead of append when scraping to a google sheet?
@TheJeremyRedman

Yeah!! During recording when you scrape a single item, you can then add that thing you scraped into a column in google sheets
