Haskap..had never heard of it before. How cool!! Can you compare their flavor to perhaps a more common fruit I'd be familiar with? Also, I may have missed your explanation of the different types of zones in previous videos. Can you point me to it or explain in a future video please? I saw blackcurrant in there. I fell in love with that the short while I lived in England. It's as popular there as grape flavored things here are in the US. @ the end I can see where Charlie gets that beautiful red hair of hers. ;-) Many snoot boops from Boogie 🐕‍🦺

I hadn’t heard of Haskaps either before I started doing research! We found that some plants were wayyy better than others, but I have heard it is like a blueberry mixed with a raspberry and I would agree with that! Slightly more tangy than a blueberry I would say. Great question on the zones! I think the simplest way to describe it would be to say it’s based on the coldest temperature you get on average where you live. The lower the number, the colder it gets, for longer. So for us, we are zone 2b/3 which means there are very few plants that survive our winters of -50F and several feet of snow for 6+ months. Haskaps are one of those plants which is why I’m planting tons! To find out what your zone is, Google USDA Plant Hardiness Zones and you should find several resources that will help you. I planted many black currants last year! I haven’t had the pleasure of having them before my self, but I have heard rave reviews especially from the European crowd so it’s neat that you mention your time in England! Super neat! Thanks for sharing and right back at you Boogie! 😁🙏
