Very pretty. Question, can I use fabric glue instead of sewing the stars? or it wont be sturdy enough for leather?

Yes you could use glue. You won't be washing it! Just do a test and see if it seems strong enough. Leather and vinyl vary in their backings and some backs that the glue better than others. If you are worried about sewing the stars, just put some stitches straight across the middle to hold them and glue on the edges. That way you would have insurance on them falling off.
