Starlink Internet changes everything for provincial island life here in the Philippines. Living on Siargao, internet has been pretty rubbish for the last 3 years. We have no fiber internet and no post paid options here, so this Starlink satellite internet solution will be a great addition to the island life.

Living so close to the ocean, I would protect the connector to the dish very well. You can use silicone and fill the void just below the connector, so you will avoid salt and moisture there. Should be possible to remove later if needed. It has been problems with those connectors in Norway along the coast where I live.
I think it's a great idea. I have been thinking about Starlink since I started watching your vlog three years ago. The monthly cost of 2700 PHP comes out to roughly $54 bucks. That is a good affordable price for high speed internet. I am so happy for you guys. Now all you need is a device that captures fresh water from the air. It would not be surprising that in another 2 to 3 years you'll be unboxing that device.

What makes Starlink so amazing is how SpaceX managed to build it from pre-existing satellite frequencies. Satellite frequencies are not heavily regulated in most countries that do not have space program. So in reality the technology is not that expensive what makes a regular satellite expensive is the logistics which SpaceX has an advantage in the economy of scale.

Just installed one in rural Oklahoma. Even with what I thought might be too many trees in the way, Starlink is working amazingly well. Came up in a couple minutes after install and initial turn on. 160mbps with no interruptions. I was concerned about intermittent connection due to the trees but has been very solid. Very highly recommend.
I love it Mate.☺️ If I will come home in Cebu, I will try to install one of those. Happy that our government was able to find a way to ease up our internet concerns. Congrats.
I also ordered mine and also in an island here in Sibay Caluya, Antique. Bought a solar power for the house, a laptop, and now Starlink. I'm sick of going down to the beach and going home uphill everyday just to get mobile signal and it's sooooooooooooo slow! 100kbps mobile signal and for me it's expensive and tiring. This will change everything for me!
Congratulations on your new …StarLink. 🎉👏🏾🥂
This is the video we all needed to see! Thank you and keep up the great work
It’s nice that you got the starlink. It definitely is a good purchase for people outside the cities.
There are several Globe and Smart towers that have been upgraded their systems to provide 5G connection by utilizing their existing 4G frequency. As per estimates, there are 10,000+ towers that were upgraded to 5G - and this keeps growing. Testing the reliability of the network won't give us better results using mobile devices due to different factors. For example only the top-of-the -line phones are capable to aggregate bands (carrier aggregation). Having CA on a mobile phone really improve our overall download experience. I would say that Phil is already on the digital age and been competing with other 1st world country in terms of mobile technology adoption. Smart/Globe are partnering with Nokia, Siemens and other tech giants to materialize, achieve, and provide stable and realiable connection even in far-flung areas.
I've gotten one for my place in Leyte, and it truly is a game changer. Stay safe and god bless.
