@@Dilllonm The only problem with that is that they show A-Train seeing people nearly standing still, which is why he can dodge Starlight's blasts. He had all the time in the world to not slam into Hughie's girlfriend, who he'd have perceived as nearly standing still.

I love the “goddess glow” she gets in her eyes when she uses her powers. Nice touch

Hughie may occasionally have his moments where his better angels don’t speak as loud as they could but, in general, this man is *one of the good ones*

Starlight may not have started off stronger, but by this point, she is - running fast enough to hit her nearly kills A-Train due to his weakened heart, and she's basically fine. By this point in the story, he's easily the weakest member of the Seven.

@@nuggetnivag That's not how compound V works. Compound V when taken by a supe is like a steroid. It amps your body to crazy levels for a bit, then the effects fade away. This is fine when healing since all you need is a good few days to even repair serious wounds but is only a temporary crutch for performance boosting since it'll go away for a few days. It's not a permanent boost. What we saw here was A-Train without the steroid boost but still suffering the uses of using it too much. And he still ran circles around her. Seriously, you might need to understand how Compound V works or else Temp V is going to just turn your brains into mush.

Well he clearly didn't remember first aid properly because those compressions were way to weak to do anything. FYI if you're not worried you might break a rib you're doing it wrong.

@@wyldelf2685 Nah, those sentiments are employed in better situations but ideals like mercy for monsters is an ideal usually displayed only by those who reflect the hero archetype. Ideals are not easy to attain in reality and showing mercy for a monster like A train, which is something A train wouldn't do, is because Hughie and Starlight reflect the hero archetype and heroes will go out of their way to save anyone, even villians. Or they die trying. It's not weakness, in fact, it takes a lot of strength to spare someone who was trying to kill you when you have the chance to eradicate your problem. Ideals aren't easy to reach and show's main character energy when you strive for them, especially when it's the hardest thing to do. Killing because you're scared is what most NPC's do.

They could've did that scene better A-Train dodging the light beams looked kinda weird. Couldn't really follow even tho I know what was happening

Just finished watching Season 1 a couple of weeks ago and am now working on Season 2. 😄 Looking back on this fight, Starlight probably could've simply created a wide area-of-effect flash of light that could blind A-Train (as fast as he is, I don't think he could run away from that), and then finish him off.

My only complaint is they show him moving faster than the light she fires from her hands. Those beams should be moving millions of times faster than him.

Giving A-Train heart problems is a very good idea. Nerfing the speedster for the entire show so they don't have to deal with all the inconsistencies that will come because of such a broken superpower. Now he's got a good heart, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with him in S4.

The actor obviously didn't have an actual heart attack. You don't use the actual force of chest compressions on a conscious person. It would hurt them, along with them pushing you off.

I'm not a The Boys expert, but Starlight's power is light/electricity, yes? Which A Train does not seem to be faster than. So, what he was dodging was her aim, not the bolts of energy. A Train was moving back and forth between the two fields, hedged in, but If she had ever thought to cross those streams of light A Train would have been fried, no? Or does he have other powers I missed in the show?

Still, all she needed to do was to send the negatively charged bolt to seek out he positively charged A Train (without also hitting Hughie!) and it would find him. But she didn't have that idea, and, as you say, he moves at speeds approaching light, so.

It’s not armor.. it’s fashion. The “heroes” don’t actually do any heroics or fighting… they’re just celebrities and advertising mascots. I love the part in Gen V where a character is critical and one of the students goes “Don’t you know CPR?!” and the other is like “Where would I learn that?!” and she goes “AT SUPER HERO SCHOOL!” lmao they’re literally in a super hero program and all they actually learn is social media, doing interviews, public flashy displays of powers and that kind of shit. They don’t actually learn to help or save anyone! So yeah, A Train isn’t wearing armor, he’s wearing a silly plastic fashion suit designed to sell shoes, energy drinks and sunglasses.
