Honestly, something kinda sad that's shown throughout the show is that elves are so rare that everyone needs a moment to realize they are looking at an elf, even when it's a fellow elf.

I up to date at the manga but the scene where Himmel failed to take the sword for me is still the most beautiful atleast for me, I still get shivers whenever I think of that scene.
