Playing this game I declared that my favorite thing in the world is beer. Believing that this was designed as a joke or a wholesome "Please tell us your interests. We are grateful to have you here" I completely forgot about that. Reaching level 100 in mines gave me the stardrop. The description said something like "The experience is hard to describe, but it kind of tastes like beer". I found it oddly specific, but yet again I nodded saying "Of course it tastes like beer" I placebo-ed myself. And now I realize. I am an alcoholic with memory loss. Thank you kind sir.

I just started playing a couple of days ago and i was wondering why it asked for my favourite thing was. So when i got my first stardrop I completely forgot that I put my favourite thing as "MDMA". So when it popped up it said "it's a strange but the taste reminds you of MDMA. I laughed so hard, lol.

It isn't hard to get, it just wasn't ingame when this video was created. If you reach a certain amount if hearts with Caroline (not a huge amount) you get a free tea sapling too

I tried it on the mobile port, it doesn't spawn a stardrop whenever you use a stardrop if you name favourite thing as the stardrop code [434], then again, it could work on the PC version but I don't have it.

I have a mod for spawning items in Stardew... once accidentally gave myself a stack of star drops... 255, and there was no way to skip the stardrop get animation. I had to wait through 255 air toss, chomp, text box... about 50 into the pile, I walked away from my computer... about twenty minutes later, I come back and it's nearly done, and I can't even see the energy bar max...

I can just imagine Spiff’s character showing up in town... “So, your name is [434][166][74]? That’s... that’s very unique. Is that French?” “Ah yes, I was named after my grandfather. My friends just call me Stuart.”

I think this was the first of your videos I ever saw, it was nice watching it again during a couple day binge of stardew valley content. Laughed pretty hard when you said half a million was probably more than you could earn year 1 without cheating.

I loved how when this glitch was first found, the dev's reaction was to intentionally leave it in, stating that if a player goes through this much trouble, they deserve an unintentional cheat mode.

@@imhim5083 It's not directly patched, but they did make it much more difficult to get someone to say your name. Gus should still say it once now, but that's it. I think once you get to the point of having animals on your farm, naming them like this may trigger it?

It was not a part time project on the side. He literally spent 10 hours a day for a year to make this game. He only didn't work on it on the weekends becuase he worked at a movie theater.

Bats are actually a pretty damn good choice for the cave, especially if you like creating artisan products like wine. They leave you fruit all year, even when that particular fruit is out of season, and has the potential for you to slowly collect and stockpile more than a single fruit tree can give you in a season. If you get the botanist foraging perk, the bat fruit counts as forage, and everything from the cave will become iridium star quality

There are so many glitches and bugs and exploits in gen 1 that Skyrim is in 2nd place in the leaderboard for most glitched/broken/bugged game of all time I deleted a couple comments I made after this because they took up space and we're unnecessary.

Pokemon gen 1 glitches go as far as memory editing and game reprogramming. I don't think Skyrim comes even close to that.

One of my favorites ive done is if you build your base in certain spots, and start a building outside your base but never put any materials in the construction, enemies will always go to the unfinished building and never attack your gate. its a pretty cheesy exploit. there are more too.

This game is absurdly amazing. That being said. It was developed by one person. Dude is AWESOME!

well that could actually be fun

Tea was actually implemented in the 1.4 update to SDV, released about a month ago.

Now that tea leaves (and brewing tea) is in the game, I expect to see an entire farm devoted to tea production

Watching this while sipping on coffee :)
