@@MythOverseer That's not a theory, the original release SPORE apparently contained a copy security mechanism that would scan your pc to make sure that you could only install it on one to three PCs maximum. In the end EA seems to not have used that, but they never fully removed it from the code which is why to this day some anti virus softwares will detect it and warn your PC that it contains a trojan because that is basically what's in the files. Some good old EA tactic to force you to repurchase the game for every PC you use it on.

For some reason everyone always think they're naming their creature when they are naming their planet and the confusion is usually palpable

Most common problem: Greedy publishers who dont understand the concept of art...Art needs time...And its not that Will Wright made crap games: He was the father of "Sim City" and "The Sims". So many games and studios killed by folks like "EA". Its still possible to make great and innovative and addictive games in this time. See indie games like "Undertale": Made by one dude (Toby Fox)....It IS possible and when game publishers would change their attitude and honor the work and creativity of the artists (game devs) the games that would be there, would be amazing...

I love how 90% of the peoples who played Spore never read what's written and so name their planet thinking they name their species XD

They had a cell, so they were alive, as seen with both the individual genetic material and the double (and triple) membranes. They were most likely procariotes, bacteria to be specific (altough they could have been archaea, who knows).

... The funny thing is that Spore is kind of the epitome of Intelligent Design... kind of... *Intelligently* Designed Evolution...

The hilarious and sad thing about Spore is that, it wasnt Will Wright that wanted the game to become this shitty kid cartoon game. It was an in-house conflict between "Team Cute" lead by another Maxis developer, and "Team Realism" lead by Will Wright. Eventually the majority of the devs decided that "Cute" was the better (or rather easier) choice, and Will Wright had to accept the democracy of the dev team, being the nice guy he is (to his own detriment, and that of the game). So yeah, thats why it ended up like this. What we saw in the very earliest pre-alpha videos, was Will Wrights actual vision of the game as a science-based realistic evolution sim. What we got in the end, was not Will's fault, it was the fuckwitz at Maxis that went against his vision.

Spore is actually amazing for when it was released, the space stage has like over a 100 000 unique planets. Love almost everything about the game.

There's an exploit in creature creation mode that allows you to make invisible limbs, allowing for graceful movements.

I find the first part of the video highly relatable, i also spent my younger years trying to speedrun my way into several mouths.

@@FinalFantasyIXIIII true, the player can get defeated a lot of times but can still try again and defeat it, the boss though can't get second chances, and i have to make it clear, im not meaning that spiff will need second chances, i mean that god will be so defeated that he wont even be able to try again

Literally uninstalled spore yesterday(it’s 2am rn) because I haven’t played it in a year and I’m already getting spore videos in my recommended again

@@fourtunes9647 ah lol i liked the animal stage the best. The space stage was like no mans sky but worse. But the space ship was a lot of fun. And terraforming and stuff.

Creature and Space Stage are my fav. Tribal Stage is the worst imo. I tend to linger around in Creature Stage for eons, then try ro blaze through Tribal as fast as possible to get to Civ Stage, enjoy that for a bit, then go into space and expand.

A energy making cell was eaten by a hunter cell but not digested, because of this the energy making cell no longer had to flee from anywhere and could give the cell a ton of energy, whilst the hunter cell now had a ton of energy so it could evolve and hunt better. There is another exploitable you didn't use in the cell stage. At character creation stage, you can actually give your cell both carnivorous and herbivorous mouth parts

how to deal with a rival colony (by the way I am a British person IRL): 1. Use your Navy to block anything from getting into the rival colony. 2. Land as many troops onto it as possible. 3. Take their Capital. 4. Decide how to run the colony (We learned the lesson: no overseas direct rule from the USA). 5. Enjoy your new colony (optional).

Pretty impressive how the most "accurate" of the spores was also the most Satan I fused....the Goose....
