What a beauty of a game. I'm not a Zerg player but I always thought that's what *THE SWARM* should look like. flowing waves of zerglings spreading chaos at its wake.

Lowko, I've been following you since back in 2010-11. You're the one who intrigued me to switch from P to Z. I took a few years off from the game and just recently revitalized my passion for it. What i love about Stephano is that he is still using ling bane even until the 10 minute mark, waiting for 3-3. It will be interesting to see what will happen with the new zergling burrow buffs, and the widow mine buffs too.

Lowko, I've sent you that over twitter, but you should really cast Has vs Time, the series was awesome, especially the 4th game!

That was a good game indeed. although.. TIME became too predictable on the later stages.

The transfuse on the baneling nest was brilliant.

4:40 "Stephano does not actually have an overlord over here", he says, just as the medivac flies past the overlord in its path.

The little move at the end with the corruptor to make the marine move forward and discover the swarm coming upon us...

Stefano was the creator of the infamous 12 minute max out back in WoL ( I think...), basically he did what he did here, rushing the third base and well, he was at 200/200 supply at 12 minutes. Back when you didn't start with a million workers. That was pretty hard to beat. Actually so hard to beat that as a Protoss you'd need to push early and deny the third expansions so you got some more time to create the Protoss deathball of Immortals, Stalkers, Sentries, Zealots and Colossi. You COULD try to go Air because the first max out would be mainly roaches but the biggest problem would be, that you couldn't defend a base with the few air units you got by that time, a basetrade was impossible and as soon as he scouts your air, he builds hydras or mutas (depending).

whoot stephano Lowko - you allways say steph is known for hes lay back style - but for me he is the master of surrounds.

That was excelent. Time was efficient, but he was not efficient enough, and I"m guessing stephano knew that. The control from both players was excellent, leaving me on the edge of my seat for the last 15 minutes of this 20 minute match. Goodness Gracious. GG indeed.

I really enjoyed Scarlett vs serral. Super intense. Lowko, you would go nuts casting those games I think

Surely one of the most amazing Terran vs Zerg. Thoses little roaches keep coming. I was cheering for Time though but Stephano just eats the map away, just look at the minimap along the game.

@17:36 when Lowko checks units/resources lost tab, am I crazy or does the ~3k minerals Stephano lost seem negligible when compared to the worker/income count and the ~1500 gas Time lost??

Serral V Scarlett was pretty intense. Particularly games 2&3.

The serrel Vs Scarlett best of 5 was pretty great zvz.

Just curious, if Time saw the mass Swarm style of zerg wouldn't it be benificial to have addex some hellbats into the mix alongside marine tank?

It looks like he underestimated the number of lings and corruptors on the board and thought his siege tanks could handle the swarm. By the looks of it, his biggest loss was the siege tanks taken by ambushes. He had at least 1k more in gas losses.

He already invested too much into bio to switch into mech, he had too many barracks and was upgrading infantry armor and weapons so it wouldn't be efficient to change his production.

You don't need to invest into mech, he just had to make an Armory and that's it, no more lings. even without blue flame a wall of hellbaths wins against a ling swarm, with blue flame you can just wipe them without effort

He had banelings too at all times so I doubt the hellbats would have made much of a difference.

I think you overestimate the effectiveness of hellbats when Zerg is that far ahead. Lots of banes with ling surround and its over. This style of play is very hard to counter because drops are easily shut down and terran has a hard time keeping up with zergs defense macro play...

@LowkoTV please cast the sixth game of the grand final beetwen Reynor and Serral, it was long, awesome macro game with mutas, lurkers, vipers and stuff :D And the seventh match was also nice, impressive strategy from Serral.

at no point in this game i felt like stephano was in any danger of losing. he was completly dominant throughout.

why not a hellion blue flame to counter these swarm? i mean, trasformed they can decimate zerling or am i wrong? also banshee with cloak, i did not see any observer. i don't understand, but i am a big noob

Widowmines aren't bad sure, but they'll get better should the balance changes be applied the way they are planned. Being able to have widowmines cloaked again after taking a shot will give dealing with this kind of aggressive play a great defensive option.

Its not enough to defeat your Enemy. He must be Annihilated!

Love how lowko was in favour for terran up until the end when zerg won lol

actually chickens can fly just as well as a turkey the reason we think they dont fly is because the raised ones get the tip of their wings cut just after they hatched

Chickens can fly for a few seconds, the world record is 30 seconds but most can't stay off the ground for more than 3 seconds.

I like the new updates. I'm not sure though if BCs will find a way back to meta ... They still seem very special

Wow, it's interesting how different this is to the original WCS cast. If I remember correctly, they thought Stephano had a big lead since that first push and I'd rather agree with them than Lowko. Nevertheless it was a good video. ;)

That was great game, but i'm a little bit disappointed. Really wanted to see that corruptor-ultralisk switch :/

Some more informations. Stephano is down 0-1 at this point to TIME, so he is under a decent amount of pressure of winning this Bo3, and he did won the series catching back up 2-1 beating TIME. However TIME came back around from the loser's bracket into the semi-finals beating Heromarine 3-0, lost to Reynor tho.

A moment of silence for those of us who will never be half this good.

I think here Stephano stayed on zergling and bane on purpose to maintain the statu quo in term of composition.

You wanted to say prottos lost, as they usually do.

In Real life wars you need economy to late war, but in sc two its for protoss only for early xD

And why nobody send atleast one worker on autorepair and make someting like repair zone i am just gold but i think this is helpfull

i guess you have better priorities... or just low on cash

I wonder, why don't pros switch to Hellbaths in this scenarios? they are just 100 minerals each and are good against all of Zerg's early game, even if Zerg where to switch to mass hydra it wouln't be that much of a loss in the slightest, hell, you don't even need the blue flame most of the time. And once zerg goes into something to counter you, you can just turn them into Hellions and use them to wipe out as many workers as possible, wich would be worth more than the hellions costed in the first place
