I had to call my Starbucks several times to check my application. I was told many times that the manager would call me as soon as he could and they even gave me a specific time and day for a call. Sadly, they never followed through, so I went into the store and asked to see him in person. That’s where I was given a 2 second interview and hired on the spot. I was expecting a longer interview but it’s was the basic, “why do you want to work with us”. Not too difficult. But each experience might be different. So good luck to anyone else!!!

I interviewed for the first time I didn’t get the job then went again a few weeks later and got the job the 2nd time. Keep in mind this is my first job so you are competing with people with experience. Even though I don’t have experience I talked about the multiple side hustles that I do. It can be anything it shows work ethic. And elaborate how well you work as a team. You’d make a great barista if you: Elaborate on these they sent me this when I got hired Consider yourself a “people person,” and enjoy meeting others. Love working as a team and appreciate the chance to collaborate. Understand how to create a great customer service experience. Have a focus on quality and take pride in your work. Are open to learning new things (especially the latest beverage recipe!) Are comfortable with responsibilities like cash-handling and store safety. Can keep cool and calm in a fast-paced, energetic work environment. Can maintain a clean and organized workspace. Have excellent communications skills.

Strengths: keeping a conversation going, patience, and on time Weaknesses: memory as of right now, adhd,

@@ManjarithePandicorn I’m back from my interview! How it went was I was in there for 30 mins with the manager and she said she loved my answers and took down a lot of notes. At the end she said that they usually double team for interviews but since her partner couldn’t make it she took down my phone number and said she will call me back this afternoon with a date for the zoom meeting. Other than that when I asked about attire she said that if I don’t already I should get special work shoes but in total I think I’m getting in! I even supplied a printed out version of my resume to give to her at the end

Thank you sm for this video 🥺 it's so helpful. I have two interviews tomorrow and two different locations and it's going to be my first interview in more than a year. My dreaded weakness is actually social anxiety and I'm trying very hard to figure out how to NOT show that. I really need the exposure at a customer service job to learn how to communicate with others well verbally, so I'm trying to keep my cool without freaking out about being the wrong candidate/ a bad fit 😅

@@Kittensinspaces differs from store to store. if they are looking for applications then it will be quick. they're not always looking but they keep ur application on file for 6 months until they may need to hire.

I think preparing for the interview I think you need to focus more on the questions that they're going to be asking you whether than knowing the drinks when you don't even work there but that's my opinion.

I don't work there but I saw someone else have this same issue and they recommended contacting the store to speak to the manager. sometimes the lose files and stuff

I have a zoom/phone meeting tomorrow and I'm a little nervous about it because It's my first interview with them and i feel like i'm going to slur my words or my mind will just completely be blank😭 I also just found out that this probably won't be the only interview and that makes me more nervous LOL but i'm excited and i really want to work there🙏 Edit: I just did my interview and these are the questions she (the store manager) asked in order: - Tell me about yourself - Why do you want to work for Starbucks? - At my previous job, did we have a common goal to reach each day and what was that goal? - How did you connect with your customers? - How would you appraoch the situation if a customer is unhappy or upset? - Tell me about a time where you disagreed with a coworker or manager? How did you approach the situation - Tell me about a time where there was a problem with another coworker? How did you approach the situation - What does your availability look like? Questions i asked her at the end: - How long have you been working at Starbucks and what do you like most about working there? - How do the shifts work at Starbucks? - I also asked her about the green aprons and if there's such thing as black aprons and she laughed at that question lol but it wasn't in a mean way lol - Also i didn't ask about this but i would ask how long the training process is Edit: I got hired!!

Manjari G Thank you! I just did the interview and i think it went pretty well! The store is closed today because of the weather and she doesn't know if it'll be closed tomorrow but she said to expect a call from her within a day or two! I made her laugh and I made sure to ask a lot of questions in the end and it lasted about 25 minutes 😋

i’m so scared… i’m gonna apply in May (when i turn 16) but i get really anxious and freeze up when people talk to me and i’ve been homeschooled by entire life and never did any other activities so i don’t have a lot of team experience with teamwork or problem solving things… idkkk

@@chloebridges3653 hey I’m guessing questions vary depending on what your manager is looking for, but most of the basic ones include telling them about yourself and your best qualities, they will most likely ask when was a time you had to work in a team and how did you contribute, they might also ask how would you handle an upset customer, how would you handle a situation where your coworker has made a mistake, What does customer service look like to you? 1/2

Do you think Starbucks check the references that you put on your CV? I put 2 referees down (tutors from my college) but not from my last employer. I know my tutors would give a nice reference, but I don't really want them to be contacted so now I'm paranoid hahah

Very few jobs actually contact the references from my experience but I wouldn’t worry too much about it!

I put on my CV (in a section titled References): available upon request. That way, if a job really wants those references they’ll ask you, so you have time to warn your references for a future call from the employer! :)

Nah def make it seems like you’ve done your research. You can like other drinks that aren’t coffee and they’d still like that but they like when you can make suggestions about drinks

I applied to Starbucks and they did not asked me for a resume. If you don't have experience you will be fine :)

I didn’t have much on it my resume since I applied in high school... just like volunteer positions basically I’m sure it will be fine

@@ManjarithePandicorn Update, I am hired and going to start my training pretty soon. I'm very excited and so happy to be able to work at a cafe like location. Granted the location is busier but its good regardless. Now, rather than binging interview videos, its videos on how to make the drinks and the training.

I have an interview Friday and I’m not sure why I’m nervous bc I just got out of the military so ??? Why is Starbucks making me shake in my boots 🥲

My interview with the SM was much better that's why I was able to move forward to the DM But I think I failed my interview with the DM :( it's been 6 days and they still.havent text me :(
