It felt more like I was just having a conversation rather than an interview. A week later I got the job offer and was told that they really really liked me lol. I start Wednesday.

@@giszellegarfias1225 i don’t think so, i think it’s strictly 16, at least that’s where im at. i know some places allow you to be 15. another thing to note is that when i had the interview the manager mentioned they follow california’s laws so i think you just have to be 16 to apply.

@@amarimarigny3583 I'm not applying for Starbucks but for a different job and I suffer from really bad anxiety too, however I think I'm doing really good. I had to do a phone interview first, and before I called them I did a mock interview by myself, wrote down typical interview questions and answered themself. When the phone call came, I eased my mind but my heart WAS POUNDING, like I had just ran a marathon jfc. But literally, the whole interview was like "what's your name? How do you spell it? How old are you? Let me tell you the general tasks and responsibilities.. Also what shifts can you work?" And then typical questions like "what are your strengths? Do you think you're fast at learning? Why do you want to work here? How do you feel about our diverse community?" Literally the stuff I had just practiced, questions I pulled from the internet, was asked. Even though my body was shaking, I could still speak clearly bc I rehersed that shit. Now I have a store interview soon but the lady told me they're just going to have me sign stuff and give me a tour of the store and my tasks. Anyways. Practice makes perfect! You just have push yourself out there. Like girl I felt so happy after that interview, I DID THAT. You can too!!

So this is my advice. If they're hiring, just go above and beyond and show up. Call. E-mail. They're still valid reasons and intiatives. Be sure to mention that you're very interested in the job and everything ahe has already said.

Honestly. I just applied. No resume. Just filled out the application in a flattering and formal way. When I got the call, I told them I had already got a job (I had) and that I don’t know that my hours would be compatible. Told them I’d call if anything changes. After getting off the phone, I thought a bit, and called back, saying I would love to fit them into my schedule and it doesn’t appear that I have busy hours. Kinda reverse psychologyed them without meaning to lol. Interview day, I showed up early with a folder in hand. And EVERY question I was asked was along the lines of, “tell me a story about when you (resolved a conflict, fixed a problem, made a connection, reached a goal, etc…”) when I tell you every single word out of my mouth sounded like a hallmark movie… it worked tho. Interviewer gushed over me a lot and offered me a job on the spot.

I got a call for an interview tomorrow! I’m so excited 😭 Update: I got the job! 🥳

@@kawaiibunnbunn yeah actually i did study interview questions such as problem solving or how well i worked in a group. but as long as you're passionate about learning about coffee and just a kind and fun person then you should be fine. being yourself is also just as important. a specific thing you should focus on are starbucks core values, such as the LATTE model or their motto "To inspire and nurture the human spirit - one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time." it is also a great idea to call back if you haven't heard back in a week. i didn't hear back from my employer for a while and it turned out that they had the wrong phone number on file... so def give them a call!

I applied 5 days ago, should I call the store today and ask about the status of my application? UPDATE: I called the store yesterday and today they called me and asked me to come in for an interview! Y’all- I quit the job Bc the coworkers were annoying, a lot of them didn’t take me seriously Bc I was younger and new. But I actually enjoyed it for the most part and the pay with the tip u get every two weeks isnt bad :) But I worked there for about 4 months

@@bri2535 Because my only work experience was working with children, they wanted to know I communicated with non-students. I answered that by saying I would monitor each kids progress and would speak to parents each session to give them a rundown of what their child was able to do, and what the child did or didn’t do well. I also said that I kept a more professional tone with the parents.

Just an FYI at some stores some shifts do interviews and hire people. That’s how it is at my store at least. Try to leave a good impression with anyone you talk to basically 😂😂

I saw your video in which you work as a shift manager and I can see that you put in effort and its a very productive job to have. I always have had the mentality that If I apply somewhere I’ll get hired because I have always wanted to make my own money and help my family with the bills. I’m a sophomore in dual enrollment high school (High-school and community college). I also want to work at Starbucks because their drinks are delicious and I really want some of their cute cups that are Venti size. I love how you include the 401K, vacation, and you can move up fast. I’m going to apply at my local stores in about a week.

@@brianabryant3707 To be honest with you , I lost my job because of my ADHD.. I had trouble to remember my checkout... there are a loooot of things to remember! It’s not a job for everyone like she first said to me, I’m just being honest! For your question, I did not really have some, but just a little because I worked 1 month and a half at McDonalds as cashier! But do not let this stop you what I said to you, it was my experience not yours! The people are so kind and nice and even the costumer are so fun to talk with they’re always (almost) so kind to you! There smile was giving me such a good day! ☺️ My piece of advice is that Starbucks need someone who loves their client, like in the formation they want your client to feel like it’s their second home going to have! Trying to remember names ect is a plus! It will come over time! I wish you the best of luck! 🥰✨ and if you any other question don’t feel shy to ask me It’ll be a pleasure to answer them!

Thanks for the info! The number of drinks to learn always seems daunting but it's all on the job training which is fun. I'm moving across the country and starting school and I plan to start working at Starbucks. A lot of changes but I'm excited! I'll give an update!

My sister works at Starbucks they get lots of benefits like free Spotify, free therapy once a month, tuition free university at ASU. I am sure they offer good benefits in Germany as well.

thanks for this omg!! this makes me feel more confident in getting the job! i’m 17 years old and i’m planning to apply at starbucks around august, if not september, and i was kinda nervous bc i’ve seen reviews at the starbucks i wanna apply and they’re kinda bad reviews; saying how bad the management is and how the baristas finish customer’s drinks when they just got there at the cafe rather than finishing those who have been waiting for so long. but this gave me more confidence and gave me more knowledge on how to apply and i wanna thank you for that! this helped a lot! 🥺💜

Brianna Aguilar samee!! this is my first real job too and like i tend to be shy and quiet at times but when i get used to stuff, i tend to be more outgoing. i’m a huge ambivert lmaooo but it’s more like i have to get comfortable with everything and i’ll be fine. hopefully i can still apply for the job even with everything that’s still going on

I had my interview two days ago and I just started working today, all I gotta say is that it's so difficult😭I wanted to cry when seeing how fast everyone else was going, but I can't give up. To anyone who is planning on working there, just know that it's not easy and it will take you some time to get used to it, especially since they tend to have tons of customers and all, they have to go so quickly and I kept forgetting what went with what and such, especially since I have never drunk coffee a day in my life, I know nothing about it and I'm not familiar with it, so it's even harder for me. I didn't even know a frappuccino is a cold drink🥺

@@Natika-eb7ov Yeah, I'm there now, I'm on my ten minute break and I leave soon! It was better for me today because I remembered most things, just a little slower than everyone else, but that happens. Don't be nervous, everyone will be kind and you'll be fine as long as you're honest and sincere! You got this!💜 Edit: Okay, so I got frustrated yesterday and cried. Luckily, there was a really kind and patient guy there with me to help me, the line was so long and I got so frustrated. Also, I made a friend! I like it here🥺

Rizzo lol didn’t get hired. I just reapplied two days ago because an application expires after two months. The store I applied to said that they had enough staff at the time and weren’t looking for anyone.

I’m gonna have an interview very soon and I’m just binging these videos! The only problem for me is that I’m an introvert that’s incredibly shy. I gotta put up a mask for this all. This is really informative! I'm 20 and have been struggling to find a job and there's a Starbucks down the street from me. @@mesmerizingstars omg weirdly enough I ended applying for a call center job and getting it! the nerves before any interview are always the worst but once you gets there it just kinda flows naturally!! Looking back I definitely was terrified but now I love my job ❤️ You got this!! Good luck ❤️❤️

I was asked basic questions like tell me about yourself, why do you want this job and then a lot of scenario based questions such as "tell me a situation when you had to..." and so on. It lasted about forty minutes and was pretty casual. I was feeling nervous at the beginning and felt better towards the middle/end :) My best advice would be to just be yourself! Give honest answers and show genuine interest. You got this!❤️ Best of luck on your interview and I hope you get the job!💞💞

I have an interview of sorts tomorrow. Basically the manager said to drop off the resume at around 1:30. I am 57 years old and very scared out of my wits as I am afraid that they will think I am too old. This helped a lot. I want to work at Starbucks because I love coffee so much and want to be a barista. I already have a job in health care and need a bit of a break. Starbucks is my happy place. Pray for me in Santa Clarita, California.

@@jokesonyou222 i did a bunch of research for potential questions they might ask, and then i wrote them all down and came up with a thorough answer for each one. they ended up asking a lot of the questions i had practiced so i was super prepared! i recommend doing the same

Your video is soo helpful!! I got an interview with Target actually and I heard some people get placed there if they need help. I’d love to work at Starbucks as a second job. That’s a lot of free drinks!! I also have social anxiety but I WANT to work! Ooh was it hard to transfer out of state? And how long did it take? I plan to do this eventually!!

I have an interview on Monday and I have been trying to get a job at Starbucks since 2019 so I am very excited and also nervous because I had experience at a licensed store at my school before COVID hit but now I am interviewing to work at a corporate store so all the perseverance, hard work, and patience is definitely helping me get in the right direction.
