My personal favorite era in the EU, I love the transition from the prequels to the original.

Han Solo's origin in Legends was far more awesome than the one in Canon. It was not only much more interesting and with a better development, but also had a ton of iconic characters like Bria Tharen or Thrackan Sal-Solo

​@Lr.Laecro.Lirus3445 true but if you read legends Solo, such as the Han Solo trilogy or the corellian trilogy he really has a great backstory. I mean I did enjoy Solo the movie, for me it didn't deserve the hate it got but legends is still superior on my opinion

This channel nails the SW immersion for me when explaining the original Canon: it's hard to find videos that are both informative and visually satisfying, but I think this channel manages to do it perfectly.

This was an era I wish we got more of in Legends, we got a lot, but I would have loved more as well. This was honestly an underrated era in Legends for me.

Well I mean if it’s prime Vader without the cybernetics and all that then obviously yes Vader wins but after rots Vader/anakin was significantly weakened.

Mando, if I remember correctly, the start of the rebellion era after the treaty of Corellia is the stealing of the death star plans. Vader subsequently faces a doppelganger of Darth Maul and the rogue Jedi, the Dark Woman while hunting the plans, correct?

Not that I recall, anyway. All of that sounds before the hunt for the plans, Operation Skyhook and so on, @PapaWill ? And there was two years between the treaty and Skyhook/Toprawa, etc.

17:48 - Wasn't that true only after Vader "revived" Starkiller? From what I remember Vader and Palpatine plotted to use Galen as a ruse only after Sidious learned of him. Before that Vader did plan to use Starkiller as a weapon against Palpatine.

Glad you like it! The Rebellion era is probably the most saturated with content era in both the Expanded Universe and the Disney Canon so I've been spending the past months in between other videos re-reading some of the books and comics that take place in this time period. Once I feel ready enough, I'll crack open some of my source books and get started on a script

ive gotta say i dont like how the rebel symbol is from starkiller's family. I'd rather it just have been the Jedi symbol instead.

When the emperor founded the galactic republic does anyone know how things were for republic and separatist loyal planets I know earth Vader was sent to take care of the cis on mustafar but idk about the republic and it’s civilians obviously the Jedi were exiled or killed and the clones were used for the new republic

That is the question isn't it? We don't have an exact date as it happened gradually. It started out with the Empire simply asking permission to build a base there but by the time of the Battle of Yavin, they were fully enslaved.
