It would be really cool if they released an expansion with two or three new villains and three new jedis. I'm thinking of Cad Bane and Pre Visla as villains you can fight and Plo Koon, Kit Fisto and Ki-Adi Mundi as playable characters. It would also be really cool if they included Palpatine as a villain and his ability is that he turns all your squad Cards against you, just like Order 66! But before that maybe he could give you extra missions or helpful bonuses and order you around the board, simulating that he's playing both sides of the war and is distracting the Jedi.

I agree! But what i dont understand is that the art is reused art from Fantasy Flight Games SW Games. Every art shown in this video is seen in Star Wars Destiny years ago. So this company must have bought the artwork from FFG? And does that mean that the SW license of making board games are no longer FFGs?

@@youneverknowDK I wasn’t aware that the art was the same. It’s really good nonetheless. It does appear that the Star Wars game license has opened up a bit beyond Hasbro or FFG. There’s this one and the Jabba’s Palace Love Letter by ZMan, Star Wars Villainous by Ravensburger, Talisman Star Wars by The OP, and Star Wars Unlock by Space Cowboys that are all recent SW games from other publishers.

Bought the game and started sorting and admiring the pieces and cards, as is tradition. My absolute biggest surprise and excitement so far is the fact that all of the miniature heroes and villains were not only extremely detailed, but most importantly, NOT A SINGLE BENT LIGHTSABER or limb. Got my copy today! This game and the new WoW Pandemic game are amazing iterations and what I love about both of them is it's so easy to add expansions for them (which I hope they do). Great video! I had a quick question regarding taking damage. The rule book mentions under the attack action that the Jedi takes damage equal to the enemies still on the planet after the attack. Do you still take damage if you're on a planet with droids but did not engage them in an attack? Thanks so much!
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Nope, you can be on a space with enemies and you don't automatically take damage. Only during an attack.
Great video! One question about Ahsoka's free action: it states "deal 1 damage," but can the effect be applied to missions that do not specifically involve combat? For example, the Hunt For Ziro mission uses Transports, not Assault or Stealth cards, so no "damage" is done. Can her free action count toward "successes," or only damage?"
@WatchItPlayed

Dealing a damage is specifically for attacking enemies, not contributing to Missions. Hope that helps!

Hey there! My only rules question so far is , if the last card of the villain deck I draw is the one that says "draw another card" , do I shuffle the card I just drew as well as the already discarded ones to form the new deck, creating the chance to draw that same card again and potentially draw 3 cards in a turn, or do I only shuffle the ones already in the discard but not the one that told me to draw a card?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, I've sent a message to the publisher to double check, but I suspect it's not shuffled in, because I'm not sure that it would have gone to the discard pile yet. I'll let you know if I get an answer back and it's different.
During the finale, do you still have to draw from the invasion deck after each players turn?

Attempt Mission Question: (Apologies if you've already answered this question.) If I were to attempt a mission and if it were obvious by the die roll that I would fail the mission before I exhausted my squad cards, could I abort the mission without exhausting the cards?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Yes!
Hello! Thank you for the tutorial; it was very helpful. I just have a couple of questions: 1. When entering the finale for Ventress, she no longer has her hit points on the card. Does that mean she can't be removed? Or are you still supposed to hit her for three to remove her before resolving the mission? 2. For Obi's free action: Do you look at the four cards you draw and pick one to keep before putting three back on the bottom of the deck? Or do you pull four, pick one at random to keep, then put the remaining three at the bottom of the deck before looking at them? This was hotly debating during our playthrough since it is a little vague. 3. If you end your turn on a planet with a droid(s), do you take damage regardless of whether or not you attacked? For example, if you move to a planet, attack, resolve a mission, then move again to a different planet that has a droid on it and end your turn, do you take one damage for that droid?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer, hope this helps: 1) You just have to complete the final mission - you don't have to defeat Ventress to win. 2) You examine all 4 you draw, pick the one you want to keep, and then the other 3 go to the bottom in a random order. 3) You don't take damage for being on a space with an enemy. Damage is only applied in the ways described in the video. You can thematically think of it as being on the planet with the droid, but not actively in it's area. Have fun playing!
I have a question about this game, when you reach the finale stage. Do you still continue flipping over cards from the villain deck? Such as Asajj Ventress. She just tries to move to the mission marker that she is already on. I'm looking for clarification from someone?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
I’m not quite sure what you’re asking, but yes, the game otherwise continues to be played the same way.
So I need to make sure I heard correctly. When resolving missions, do you have to take a damage no matter what? Also what happens when you run out of cards to discard?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Hey there, I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there.
I'm confused by the mission cards. For the cards you shown that had a 6(attack) would you take (up to) 6 damage? And thus kill almost your entire squad? And what does the 6 with two attack symbols mean?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
The 6 refers to how many cards you need to complete the mission. The Damage is related to how many Damage symbols you see on the card (so, 1).
This game needs expansions!! Jabba the Hut, Jango Fett, Dark Side Anakin, Palpatin etc.
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Certainly lots of opportunities for them!
Do you go into Villain phase and invasion phase after every players turn or after both or all players have done their turns?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Hey Jeremy you'll find that covered here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fIeNk9asqJDHf9Y.html
Question- in the video and the rule book you both state that during the "attempt mission" phase there cannot be blockades or villains.... BUT droids are not villains, they are "enemies". So can you attempt a mission with only droids on the planet? And if you can, do you add their damage to the damage received from the dice & mission?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Hey Ry, yeah, the phrases is very specific. Droids are enemies, but they are not blockades or villains, so they do not prevent you from attempting a mission. They also don't add to damage during a mission attempt. Hope that helps clear things up. Have fun playing!
If an occupation would occur and there are no blockades in the supply, does the threat advance two spaces? One for the occupation and one for no available blockade?
@WatchItPlayed

Hey I have a question about the game. When you play a game with two players, does both players play first and then the villain goes? Or does one player starts and then the villain and then the other player after?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
Hi David, on you turn you fulfill all the steps of a turn (which includes the Villain step). The villain doesn't really have a separate turn, it's a part of each player's turn.
So something that condused me and my friends when we played was that Ventress moves to mission markers with most of her cards. When she gets to a mission, does she stay there? Or does she move again to the other mission marker on her next card
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
She'll stay there.
Quick question - if Ventress is next to a planet with a mission on it, do you move her to that planet when you draw said Villain card, or just the planet next to the mission one?
@WatchItPlayed
Жыл бұрын
You say "draw said villain card", but it would help if you named the card, so I know which one you mean since there are several. Do you mean the one I showed at 17:02? If so, and assuming Ventress is on the board, yep, you move here onto the mission planet.
@simoneperry5265
Жыл бұрын
@@WatchItPlayed yes, I mean the one shown or any card that says to move her one planet closer to a mission planet. Thank you!
Question - If Ventress is already on the Mission Planet and have already increased the threat, do you then still turn over the Villian card? If so, you then turn over the Villian card and it says to move Villian one planet closer to the mission planet, what do we do then? Is that just void?

Great video! I have a question though: as I understand it you can choose to invade a planet, as one of your 4 actions. But why would you choose to do this? Is it nessecary to complete a mission on this planet? I fail to see the point on this action
@WatchItPlayed
2 ай бұрын
Invading planets isn't one of the actions, it's one of the steps of a turn, you don't WANT to do it, but you have to do it. It's the way in which the game will continue to challenge you, if you don't stay on top of things.
@WatchItPlayed
2 ай бұрын
Do go back and check the video, I'll think you'll see that Invade a Planet isn't one of the action you can take, but a necessary step of your turn. You're right, you don't want to do it, but it's a step the rules require you to do. It represents the actions of the enemy forces, so you'll have to play well, to try to minimize the effects of that step of you turn when it happens.
Since damage beyond your number of cards is ignored, can you attack with *no* squad cards, hope for a good roll, and not suffer any penalty for damage?
@WatchItPlayed

Sure can!
If you defeat the villain and then they get placed on the board again do you have to make sure to defeat the villain “again” in order to complete the finale?

Yep, the Villain activation still happens! Thre are cards in its deck that can bring it back. Defeating the villain just helps to get it off the board for a bit.
This totally explains what my local game shop was talking about when I overheard them say Star Wars Pandemic! This plays similar to Pandemic 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, based on those core mechanics, with some new twists!
I have a rules question I hope Rodney or someone from the community can answer: When a villian is about to make a return on the board but the invasion deck has just been shuffled, meaning there isn't any top card on the discard, where do we spawn the villian? Do I flip a card to spawn them? Wait till the invasion phase then spawn? Skip spawning for that turn?

Hi Edgar, don't forget, the round ends by performing Step Four (Invading planets), so you'd never start a round, where during the Activate Villain Step the invasion deck would have no card showing (because at the end of the previous turn, even if the deck had been shuffled, you'd still resolve Step 4 afterwards, which would put new cards out for the next rounds Villain step). This is a bit hard to explain in text, but does that make sense?

@@WatchItPlayed Yes I think I got it. That means that after the siege card (reshuffle the deck), I must have forgot to draw cards that round on the invasion step for it to be no discard when the "ventress off board" came up next round. Thank you for the help.

@@EdgxrVxlle Right, exactly!
When using Ally Cards to support another player during their turn, does the supporting player need to be in the same planet as the other player?

Nope!

@@WatchItPlayed Hi! Hope you could help me out with clarifying Anakin's special ability. The card text states I can use ANY of my cards as it they are Red assault clones during that attack (I interpret it as being able to use purple, yellow, blue and even ally cars as red assault cards). However, the Fine Points section of the rulebook only gives an example using Stealth cards as Assault cards. This has also caused some discussion in some forums I've visited. Is there any official word on this? Thematically, the tv-series Anakin has been known to employ crazy tactics to win a battle, so this reflects well into using any squad card as if they are assault cards. However, game-wise it seems too overpowered I think? Tho I find it's not also wise to exhaust just any type of card to activate his special ability without good reason as he wont be able to support fellow Jedi with armor and transport abilities if needed. So that's a balancing mechanic as well?

I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
With regards to the cards that say “move her 1 planet closer to a mission planet”? If she’s already one planet away, can she be moved to the actual mission planet?
