Especially given he's multiple times, albeit in private, admitted he would've left the Jedi Order for Satine, long before Anakin even hinted any affection to Padme.

Yeah there was a lot of little details in the show like that which I really liked. Like in the last clip in this you can see in the background Rex and some of the other clones standing in the shuttle looking at somthing and in the next episode they have Rex find green blood on the floor of the shuttle.
