I think Kelnacca held on to the art or symbol to not only have a memory of when they failed as a Jedi.. and that who they killed didn't deserve it and wants a momento to always remember that.

The writing and dialogue in this show are one of the worst I've seen on the small screen. And that scene when Mae change her mind was just stupid. And it didn't make any sense. They released a bad product, and now they're blaming the audience for criticism. Absolutely ridiculous.

And Anakin doesnt like sand and Padme died from Sadness and Anakin thinks younglings are evil, and some ewoks manages to defeat elite stormtroopers blah blah blah. The show is not that bad, so far its ok, still better than Bobba.

if you think they aren't breaking lore left and right, you're not a Star Wars fan.

If you think you know lore to the point you can say that you are a neckbeard anger chud. What lore does the show break, and what lore did the OG followup films break and compart the scale. You are nitpicking and also filling in blanks not given by the show yet. For example, the biggest bitch so far has been about sith showing up but "not having been seen" but Acolyte never calls them sith, different SECTS of force users.

Remember how Obi Wan lied, from a certain point of view, how the story of Anakin changed from ep4 to 5 to 6, hell even the episode number changed. If you go out of your way to hold new stuff to a standard you did not even hold the OG stuff to then YOU are not the fan. Gatekeep some other fandom.

@@Matisaro The cannon breaking is merely supplemental criticism, not THE criticism. The majority of fan discontent concerns story (i.e. pacing, character motivation and choices), the writing (i.e. tons of forced exposition) the quality of acting (i.e. nepotism and people chosen solely based on what they look like as opposed to who may have tested the best), the directing (i.e. a show that appears more fit to air on the CW), and the VFX (i.e. effects that couldn't possibly have cost $22M per episode). SUPPLEMENTAL TO THAT, are the qualms about breaking cannon such as Mundi not being alive 100 years prior and Anakin not being the chosen one - all of which are the result of bringing in activists whose first intention was never to handle with care. Case in point, one of the writers of the show was brought on and HAD NEVER EVEN SEEN A STAR WARS MOVIE. And all of this comes in addition to the knowledge that these cannon breaking decisions were made SOLELY to overwrite "the colonizer" and insert POCs or gender queers as a form of personal therapy. That's not gatekeeping. That's people being in observance of people who aren't fans looking under every rock to see what part of culture they can assimilate into their ideology of marginalization. They do this because they understand that social entrainment involves repetition. The more you see something appear in your objective reality, the more normalized it becomes. That's exactly how audiences became desensitized to more extreme forms of violence. Add it all up and what you're left with is an entire audience forced to suffer the tortures of cinematic malfeasance. Side note: Disney shifted the lore for political reasons. Lucas shifted the lore for financial reasons. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to make more than one movie, and as a result wasn't conscientious enough to have certain details of the broader story mapped out. Case in point, the retrospectively cringey kiss Leia gives Luke in Empire Strikes back. He didn't even know that they were related in the second film. Empire was his make or break movie financially. When the movie succeeded, Gary Kurtz, the producer, disagreed with them being related and left because of further creative differences over the third movie's story.

@@ArcanumAscent The VAST majority of "that criticism" is overblown and nitpicked nonsense from people looking to justify a position they already took. The rest of your anti woke nonsense is buffoonish.

I'm not saying you can't like it but an 8/10 is delusional, literally nothingbhappens. I really wish Disney would use these massive budgets to make shows that are not 80% filler. As much as I disliked episode 3 at least things happened.

8 is right where I put it too. It is not bad at all and you are not paying attention. Things have happened differently in different cuts of scenes, there is a plot reveal coming you have not picked up. As for nothing happens I basically suggest you are actually just nitpicking as it has about the same pace currently as some beloved shows roughly. You are viewing from the eye of a jaded gatekeeper and killing your potential enjoyment of the canon. IMHO.
