They almost always forget Malak which pains me a lot because I like him more than Revan. He was also a great example of what a Sith lord and just villain In general should be like. (Lawful evil) He, nor other kotor characters are barely mentioned in the SWTOR game and while he did appear in a cut content sketch of Exegol it still pains me Malak is "non canon" while Revan is canon. Revan wouldn't have existed without Malak and vice versa.

Gnomes GAMR uuhh. yes. it does say series. but the SERIES, is TOR, not KOTOR. "KNIGHTS" of the old Republic are specific games. SWTOR is not a part of those games. Yet this video didn't touch on the Knights of series at all

yes it did it covered the first KOTOR game, the second has very little to do with the over all plot (yes there is a book that links them but it's not in game and the characters are never mentioned in SWTOR) and SWTOR is a sequel and part of the series.

I went as Revan last Halloween I had to explain to so many people who Revan was. It sucks when one f the coolest Star Wars characters ever is not well known.

If I had to make an example Josue, I wouldn't say its inaccurate, but if they did a Kingdom Hearts video right now, and they only covered Kingdom Hearts I and Kingdom Hearts Coded or something like that. They missed alot of story before and after. Especially considering they when over Star Wars The Old Republic, and not, Knights of the Old Republic, which are two different game series which crossover, but are most definitely named different. I don't mind the SWTOR info but why leave out KOTOR II in a KOTOR video

Good job my only real piece of criticism for it is, I think you focused to much on SWTOR's story and not enough on the KOTOR's I & II's story. KOTOR II wasn't even mentioned, neither was the Exile, someone very important to Revan's story who ended up dying for them.

absolutely wrong! You missed out the starforge, Darth Malak, the mandalorian wars and Exar Kun. Things from the original '' knights of the old republic ''. Mixed up some things from the mmo '' the old republic '' instead and didn't even mention main twists of the second game, '' knights of the old republic: the sithlords''. Where's the exile? Muhammad Rizki They are technically the same storyline. In SWtOR, you even find the ruins caused by the damage done to Taris in KotOR. HK-47 even makes an appearance and can be a companion.

Hmm, it's made pretty clear talking to Kreia and Goto in KotoR2, that Revan was not defeating the republic for the emperor. He was destroying the weaker worlds, while leaving the infrastructure in tact, possibly in an attempt to strengthen what remained, to fight the emperor.

I'm more so raging about the fact that the Emperor invaded the Republic 300 years after Revan fought him a second time. Not the way that it's being portrayed here. (Even though it is literal BS what they did to Revan though, just milking his name to bring people back with the hole DLC just for him.)

Alot of stuff is wrong with this. 1. This goes over the Old Republic games aka KOTOR and SWTOR but for some reason ignores KOTOR 2. 2. KOTOR 2 had nothing to do with Revan it as about one of his former students Meetra Surik. 3. Meetra is a woman and dead. She's the ghost in SWTOR who tells you where to find and free Revan.

your wrong. meetra is still alive by the time vaner is born, and revan is put into stasis by the emperor. also, it goes KOTOR, KOTOR2, the book 'Revan'(basically KOTOR3) and somewhere around the ass end of 'Revan', SWTOR kicks in where you let revan out of stasis.

A note: The Sith Emperor already had the physical form of Valkorion under his wing when the Sith Empire was formed. He found the Sith Empire to be a failure and split himself as the Sith Emperor and Valkorion, not giving too much attention to Valkorion while the other portion of him spent time trying to consume the Galaxy to become everything. *shrugs* Just thought you guys should've known that.

“It’s a trap!” 12 seconds was spent on explaining ‘Knights of the Old Republic’. Which briefly states that Revan turned against the Republic, lost his memory and turned back to fighting for the Republic.

Change to five minutes. You guys were so inaccurate

I would have preferred this video to be only about KOTOR and KOTOR 2. I don't like TOR as Bioware refuses to make KOTOR 3 in a hopeless attempt to delay the death of TOR which is already dead. Just make KOTOR 3 already pls.

just 1 point of criticism: the dark Jedi were cast out by the Republic long ago and mixed with the sith species So the first attack was not because of their war-driven characteristics but because of revenge (as always with the sithys)

Eeeeeeeee, SWTOR!! It's so rare to see it get attention and acknowledgement these days! Makes me happy! Yeah, there are some rather blatant inaccuracies. Come on, the great hyperspace war didn't start just cause the "sith are evil", they were pretty much tricked into it by Naga Sadow. Scourge and his vision of the Jedi Knight is a pretty damn big part of it too... while the dread masters are not, they could be skipped and you would not have lost anything. But I guess it'll pass for the non-initiated...

Revan didn't join because he wanted to. The emperor broke Revan's will, and made him a puppet of the Dark side, and Revan kept trying to fight for control. And he finally gets his will back when Malak fires against Revan's vessel, otherwise leaving his mind crippled. Revan never wanted to join the Dark side, he was forced.

Just another correction: The Sith didn't attack until the banished dark Jedi found them on Koriban, led by a fallen Jedi they attacked the Republic, but were then driven back to Koriban, or mostly, some sith fled to Yavin

This is the backstory of the expansion of SWTOR that I believe is called Knights of the Eternal Empire or Throne, something of that sort and the story of Revan expansion as well

Some crazy story this is.

Pretty accurate, but mostly involves SWTOR and doesn't mention that Revan led the Jedi during the Mandalorian Wars, which was a plot by the Sith Emperor to test the Republic before invading.

I can't believe you left out just how badass revan was and how revan was imprisoned for hundreds of years.

For those who haven't played the Old Republic MMORP; yes, those "Champions of the Republic and the Empire" as well as the "Ambiguous Jedi" mentioned here are YOUR custom characters, however, in every playthrough, it can only be ONE character from your profile. The whole story and dialogues play out like it was your one character, not multiple, which kinda sucks. I passed the main stories for every class and certianly grew to love my Bounty Hunter, Jedi Blademaster, Smuggler, Imperial Agent, Republic Trooper, Jedi Consular, Sith Inquisitor, and of course the Emperor's Wrath

The idea of bringing the Emperor to life just to kill him again reminds me of Starcraft 1. Originally, the Overmind was an intageable system on electro pulses between all Zerg (like all minds, but bigger) but for some unexplained reason he wanted to be physically real, so the Zerg created a body for the Overmind... which gets killed.

Nah I feel like the overmind was always a thing, it just eventually evolved into the megalithic thing it was as it began to have to control uncountable zerg hoards, even with the cerebri there to help

"The Emperor is physically reborn and escapes" Uhhhh what? Valkorian is implied to have been there building the Eternal Empire the whole damn time, for centuries, not the couple years between Shadow of Revan and Fallen Empire. How was he "reborn"?

Other than this not being about Kotor, but instead about SWTOR, another big mistake concerns the description of the Sith in the beginning. While they are indeed a species called the Sith, and that the Sith Order's name comes from them, this speicies had already mixed itself with the first Dark Jedis who went to Korriban(the home planet of the Sith species). Those Drak Jedis founded the Sith Order/Empire, and the Sith who are seen here aren't all from the Sith Species specifically because of that. They left known space togteher with those from the Sith species.

god, there were so many mistakes later in the video as well...

I keep seeing comments saying this video should’ve been called “The Old Republic in Three Minutes” instead of “Knights of the Old Republic in Three Minutes”. Meanwhile, I’m here thinking it just should’ve just been called “This History of Revan in Three Minutes” because the video basically talked about things that happened in both games that mainly focused on Revan.

For years I've heard many Star Wars fans beg for a movie about the Old Republic, but I've never known the story. This video was the exact crash course I needed. Now that I've heard about it, I must say, I hope a movie NEVER gets made on this topic, as the story is absolutely ridiculous.

That's Star Wars the old Republik a bit(swotor and Kotfe plus Valkorion wasn't a ghost when he lead the eternal empire and the outlander killed him just to find the emperor as a spirit in his mind(the outlander also used valkorion as a tool depending on his choices))
