Fully agreed, but you gotta remember, some scrubs can't be bothered to play Morrowind because A: they were too young when it came out and won't play it for lolgraphics, or B: refuse to play it because they read some reviews where "Oblivion better, Morrowind bad..." Also, I like how there was no mention of Sithis in the beginning, no Heart of Lorkhan, no Numidium, no Orsinium, no Dwemer disappearance, no Chimer becoming Dunmer... I understand three minutes is a deadline to cover a lot of shit, but seriously? Should have and could have just skipped Elder Scrolls entirely, because now it just seems like you clearly have no clue what's going on. Only played Skyrim, maybe?

Well, the "casu-el" will feel very confused with the game's storyline if the info they have is just plain incorrrect. I mean, TESIV: Oblivion wasn't that long ago. In literally the beginning of the main quest, you (the player character) become the "Hero of Kvatch", NOT Martin. It's a 2006 game, and you'd get that information from playing the first 20 minutes of it. How can you even get that wrong? Or did I just not hear some words in there? The guy talks too fast.

True, but they skipped over a lot of the most important points, such as the death of the Tribunal, the Dragonbreak, the creation of Talos, the first Numidium, the second Numidium, and most of that specific creation story..... Plus they pronounced Boethiah wrong. And that's just stuff from Arena - Skyrim, not even getting into Redguard, Battlespire, and the TES Travels series... If they wanted to be accurate, or at least not-inaccurate, then they probably should've made this either a longer video, or made this a series with each video being a "(insert TES game here)'s entire storyline in 3 minutes!"

Jared Krauss While the person making the video was probably mistaken in saying that, it's not entirely wrong. One of the many theories for Malacath alongside the excrement one (which Malacath himself makes fun of by saying mortals take things too literally) and him being another aspect of Trinimac who might still exist, is that Trinimac was so torn by the shame and guilt of betraying Lorkhan that he became Boethiah, embraced his deceit and betrayal aspect, and left the raw, vengeful aspect of himself behind which became Malacath. It's not a very likely theory, but an interesting one nonetheless.

You forgot the story of Morrowind, and Martin Septim wasn't the Hero of Kvatch. The default character name in Oblivion is Bendu Olo, so Bendu was the hero/new Sheo.

Boethiah didn't become Malacath. The Aedra Boethiah ate (trinimac) became Malacath after being digested and expelled by Boethiah.

***** Alduin ruled everyone and everything in tamriel but it said he only ruled one race. It also said Martin septim was the hero of kavatch and fought dagon several times but the character does all that and all martin did was fight him once and sacrificed himself to kill dagon. Then it says that the Empire was destroyed by the Oblivion crisis which is is bull shit, it barely hurt the empire. It also said that ther was 200 years of political assassinations but there was only the assassination of the high king done by ulfric stormcloak. It said that there was two major factions the imperials which is a part of the empire they said was destroyed and the stormcloaks which was just a rebellion. He also said that they simply had peace but you choose which one wins and what ever one you choose destroys the other.There was way more he either missed or got incorrect. I've played all of the elder scrolls games and have spent days if not months of hours either playing or watching the series get played.

Still doesn't change the fact of what he got wrong 1) Padomay and Anu created Anui-el and Sithis not Auri-El and Lorkhan, 2) Lorkhan tricked the et'ada into creating nirn and was later executed cuz of it. 3) He skipped ESO and more importantly Morrowind. 4) Ysgramor drove the Falmer underground not Harold. 5) He called Martin Septim the hero of kvatch, etc.

Dark Knight theres no cannon ending for the civil war, but you can make a temporary peace treaty between both if you just follow the main quest

Falmer are devolved Snow Elves it's literally in the name "Fal" Snow "Mer" elves, It is you who should do their research.

There are so many half-truths and inaccuracies in this video, particularly surrounding creation. It's not blatant misinformation, it's just a clear lack of understanding of the lore. Lorkhan did not recruit the other spirits to create other planets and mortal races. Lorkhan only convinced them to create one thing: the mortal plane (Mundus). The planets were not made by Lorkhan, some of the spirits (et'Ada) that got trapped in the mortal plane ARE the planets (The Aedra/Divines). And Lorkhan and the other et'Ada did not directly create mortals, some of the other lesser et'Ada walked the mortal plane and their descendants became progressively more mortal with every generation until they *became* the Ehlnofey, the mortal ancestors of man and elf. You're clearly mixing and muddling some of the events of the Godhead's Dream (amaranth) with Anu's Dream. You're also mixing and muddling the 12 worlds with Lorkhan and the creation of Mundus. This is basically what 20 minutes of skimming through and half-reading some of the lore on UESP will get you. You take metaphysical metaphors as literal events, mispronounce many names, and show a consistent half-understanding of races and history. But fret not! Head on over to /r/TESlore and they can sort you out. Maybe learn a bit about how Talos was actually 3 people trapped in an enantiomorphic event, how daedra aren't a mortal race but are higher-dimensional beings, and a bit about the wonderful metaphysical headache that is CHIM and the Amaranth. That or check out the podcast "The Selectives Lorecast" right here on KZread!

If you want lore watch rhexx or read the book in oblivion and morrowing called the creation of nirn but anu didnt create nirn lorkan tricked the spirits into creating nirn and thats why the ones that created nirn are know as aedras and the ones who didnt were daedras Sothas

Nooooooooope, Daggerfall and morrowind aren't covered at all. SPOILERS AHEAD ... Daggerfall - dead king in the region of daggerfall is haunting his own people and making spookey noises at night which leads you on a long journey which eventually leads you to touching a statue and then travelign to aetherius to retrieve the mantella which powers the dwarven super robo magic mecha bot of destruction; the numidium. Morrowind - a prisoner from cyrodiil is transferred to morrowind by emperor's orders to join the blades, after sometime you discover you are possibly the reincarnation of an ancient chimer warrior and leader, Nevevar. The nerevarine then goes and kills a bunch of ash vampires and his old homie dagoth Ur. (forgive me for any errors it's been forever since I played either of these games)

What about the chimer? You completely forgot about them. That was a HUGE event that caused the dwarves to disappear and the chimer to become the dark elves.

Martin isn't the Hero of Kvatch. You are. Martin and the pc are to different characters.

My friend mentioned a side quest he had in an Elder Scrolls game where he entered a magic painting and a thief with the magic brush painted some ogrs to stop the player, but the ogrs didn't give a crap about the thief who painted them and the thief was smashed. I never knew elder scrolls had a neat magical painting side quest next to the other plain transferring like into oblivion.

"The hero is given worldwide acclaim" The biggest lie told in this video. When I defeated Alduin, I got a pat on the back, a coupon for a free meal at Chipotle.

1. Anu and Padomay gave birth to Anui-El and Sithis, who then in turn gave birth to Auriel and Lorkhan(also that is not at all what Auriel looks like, that's closer to a drawing of Merhunes Dagon) 2. Nirn is the planet, the plane of existence is called Mundus 3. There was no civil war between the spirits, those who were still strong enough to leave after helping create Mundus did, those who weren't, didn't 4. Lorkhan didn't die in battle. He was executed by Auriel and the other 7 Aedra 5. Lorkhan's death didn't cause the splitting of the continents, it caused the creation of red mountain 6. The races of Men and Elves weren't created and spread around, they were descended from weaker spirits who resorted to procreation 7. Boethia ate the spirit Trinimac and expunged him, it was Trinimac who was turned into Malacath, and his followers who became the orcs 8. Conflict between Men and Elves was concentrated largely, if not solely on the continent of Tamriel 9. It wasn't King Harald who drove out the Snow Elves, it was Ysgramor and the 500 companions 10. There is only one to two recorded conflicts between multiple continents in the history of Nirn, this is an image of Tamriel, a single continent made up of different countries, largely separated by race 11. The Septim Empire lasted for the entirety of the third era, not until Talos' death 12. Jaeger Tharn was only able to usurp the throne because he imprisoned and disguised himself as Emperor Uriel Septim VII, and this was still before the fall of the Septim Empire 13. The Emperor before the Oblivion Crisis was Uriel Septim VII(see above), and he was not assassinated until all of his known heirs were 14. Martin Septim was not the Hero of Kvatch, the Hero of Kvatch was the player character in TES IV: Oblivion, who told Martin of his true parentage(Martin was an illegitimate child) 15. Resealing the barrier between Oblivion and Mundus resulted in the death of Martin Septim, this is a pretty important detail as it led to the end of the Septim Dynasty, which led to the weakening of the Empire, which contributed to the current state of Tamriel 16. The Empire was not destroyed, only weakened, and the throne was taken up by the Mede Dynasty. Tamriel was never "destroyed," as again, it is the entire continent that all the games are set in 17. 200 years of political assassinations? I have no idea where that even came from 18. The Last Dragonborn doesn't end the civil war(canonically), he merely negotiates a truce until the dragons are dealt with 19. Tamriel is far from peace. No hate to this guy, I just felt like sharing my observations because I was in a nerdy mood. Sorry for any mistakes(grammatical or otherwise) that I may have missed.

Is it me or is this video incorrect a lot? I thought Lorkhan tricked the gods to give up their divinity to create Nirn, to which they killed Lorkhan for it. And Talos was born as Hjalti, then Tiber Septim, and when he died THEN he ascended to godhood and became Talos. And martin wasnt a hero of kvatch. And Malacath was an Et'Ada named Trinimac that was turned into what he is now, by Boethiah. Am i right or wrong?

Despite skipped games and inaccuracies, still a well made video. Another guy included additional and more accurate information in about a minute but still good job

Hilarious video. Though you are leaving yourself open to a hailstorm of recoil when you do anything regarding the Elder Scrolls lore, as I can already see from the many comments aimed at pointing out your short comings (though there will always be someone that has to feel good about themselves by pointing out someone else's mistakes, even though they themselves DO NOT have anything like this that they had made, so IMO they all can piss off) Either way, awesome job! I'm sure it took a bit of effort to make this, and I want you to know that it was very cool (and this is coming from an Elder Scrolls geek). All in all it was very well done. Excellent job, despite what the drinkers of HATORADE will tell you.

There are a lot of mistakes in this. Lie you skipped the creation of sithis, Boethia doesn't becoome Malacath, the spirit she eats does.

Stormcloaks: Get absolutely annihilated by the Thalmor & the Legion. And fall out with the only other faction that gives a shit about you (Imperial Legion) Imperials: Don't get absolutely annihilated.

Boethiah isn't a priest, it's a Daedric Lord. And Talos wasn't a Nord, he was multiple people. I can't remember the main guy's name but he was actually a Breton Edit: all that being said I love the artwork overall good video

Why no mention of anything that happens in Morrowind? Lord Nerevar incarnate saving Morrowind and preventing Dagoth Ur from creating a second Numidian (that would end the world?) seems like a pretty big deal x) Other than that, great video :D

Aedra and Daedra is a mostly meaningless term. It tells you who took part in creating Mundus and who didn't. They're all just spirits along a gradient of Stasis Change with Auriel (or Akatosh) and Lorkhan (or Shor) being on the furthest extremes. Sithis is literally nothing. Anu and Sithis aren't entities. They are Stasis and Change.

Sithis is absolutely an entity. He reportedly bears children, wills events and grants life to the departed. He is referred to as the void, but he is also referred to as a He; and his influence is reported in every TES game. Mostly the Dark brotherhood. It's not like existing as both a concept and an individual is anything spectacularly odd in the TES universe, anyways. CHIM, anyone?

Some clarifications: 1: the creation of Sithis and Anui-el were skipped. 2: Lorkhan tricked the gods into creating Nirn. 3: Lorkhan was killed by Auri-El and Trinimac and his heart was shot into red mountain. 4: Boethiah didn’t become Malacath, Trinimac, who was eaten by Boethiah became Malacath. And the race of Orismer weren’t created, they were altered to become paraiahs among Mer. 5: The transition from Aedra to Elthnofey to Mer wasn’t touched upon. 6: Akaviri isn’t a person, it’s a race. 7: You also forgot to mention that Tiber Septim (Talos) was also Shezzari, meaning an incarnation of Shor, or Lorkhan in a human body. 8: Martin Septim wasn’t the hero of Kvatch, the player character is. 9: No Daggerfall or Morrowind? 10: Also how come the Aldmeri Dominion weren’t mentioned at all?

Half the games aren't even featured in this, even Morrowind.. whaaat? Also "a dark prince Bothia" is the Daedric Prince Boethiah and he ate Trinimac after besting him in battle, wore his skin and pretended to be Trinimac to lie to the Chimer, an ancient pre-fall race of elves before they became dark elves. He then *almost literally* shits out Trinimac's insides which become Malacath, a new Daedric Prince who takes the Orcs as his own people. Also, Martin Septim and the Hero of Kvatch are two different people. The Player character is the Hero of Kvatch. Martin Septim also sacrifices himself to use Akatosh's power to send back Mehrunes Dagon and seal the weakened boundaries of Oblivion, he never personally fights Dagon himself. And those are just the biggest issues..

Boethia didnt become Malacath, the spirit she ate became him.

Bad video, a lot of lore inconsistencies. Like, do your research. Also, you left out very important aspects of the lore. 1. It was Anui-El, also known as Anuiel, Aniel and Satak, that was born out of Anu. Not Auriel. Auriel, also known as Auri-El, was born out of Anui-El, and is the elven equivalent of Akatosh. 2. Nirn is not a plane of existence. 3. Beastfolk, or Betmer, weren't created by the Aedra. Khajiit come from the Bosmer and Argonians are descendants of the Hist. 4. Elves, or Mer, are direct descendants of the Aedra. They weren't created by them. 5. ...What? ''The races of Nirn are split all across the planet''? Okay, hold on. The races didn't even exist before the death of Lorkhan. The Aedra now became the Ehlnofey, or Earth-Bones, and they later became the races we know. 6. It's Merethic, not ''Merthic''. Mereth was the name the Atmorans gave to the ''Era of the Elves''. 7. I can't even begin to describe how stupid this is. The Oblivion Crisis did not begin in the Merethic Era. What is this bullshit. 8. WHAT?! Son, Martin Septim was not the Hero of Kvatch. The Hero of Kvatch is simply the character you play as in Oblivion. 9. Oh wait, I get it now. You didn't even cover anything from the First or Second Era, and directly skipped to the Third, without even mentioning past things nor the fact that you are in the Third Era now. 10. The Dragonborn did not come to seal the Civil War. 11. How you pronounce Alduin makes my ears bleed. 12. ''Worldwide peace''? The Thalmor are still up the Empire's ass, the Empire itself is trying to hold everything under control, entire Vvardenfell is fucked by the Red Mountain's eruption, the Argonians have invaded Morrowind, Hammerfell is in chaos, I could go on. There is no peace on Tamriel. Next time you make a video, why don't you actually research the lore.

Dude Lorkhan's heart got ripped out by Auriel and got attached to an arrow that got shot across Tamriel, then landed in what us now the Red Mountain and created the volcano. He didn't get 'killed'.

That was an emotional rollercoaster.

A lot of this is inaccurate. Poorly done.

Matthew Weyer No, The Snow Elfes started the fighting by attacking the old nord city Saarthal because the Elfes discovered that under Saarthal there is the eye of Magnus. Nearly all nords died but Ysgramor survived. He then traveled back to Atmora, where he took the 500 best Atmoran warriors with him to get revenge on the Elfes. And well, the Snow Elfes didn’t stand a chance against Ysgramor and his warriors, because for every Atmoran 500 Elfes died.

The snow elves weren’t pushed out of Skyrim, they went underground and got enslaved by the dwarves. Eventually, devolving into what we know as the Falmer.

A couple things i noticed 1 Lorkan creates nirn after all the other aedra are created (im pretty sure) 2 Ysgramor was the one to drive out the snow elves 3 Martin wasnt the hero of kvatch 4 You completely skipped morrowind

The Aedra never intended to create Mundus. Lorkhan convinced them to do so, however after they realised that it will cost them their lives the Aedra fled Mundus. Thats how the stars and the Sun was created. The Sun because Magnus was the first to escape while the barrier was still weak therefore ripping a bigger hole in the barrier to Aetherius than the other Aedra which made smaller holes they call the stars. After that the other Aedra got pissed at Lorkhan, ripped his heart out and throw it onto nirn which led to the creation of the red Mountain. The different races of Man, Mer and Beastraces (called the Betmer i think) appeared through something similar to real life evolution. The Aldmer, which hailed from another continent which i dont recall the name of (Aldmeris maybe?) split into the different mer races (Altmer, Chimer (later Dunmer), Bosmer, Dwemer, Ayleids and Falmer) Man were originally one race which hailed from Atmora, spread accross tamriel and adapted to the different Enviroments forming, the Imperials in the Heartland, Redguards in Hammerfell and Nord in Skyrim. The Bretons were a product of Man reproducing with Mer making them similar to DnDs Half elves. Boethia ate the Hero Trinimac, an orsimer, later shat him out (or vomiting i am not sure) thous creating, Malacath and through that transformed the image of the orsimer into the orcs we know today. They never fought for Territory all over nirn, only Tamriel. they never managed to get past the Tseaci in Akavir. Also they never really fought over Black Marsh since it is barely possible for any other race than Argonians to live there. Ysgramor drove the Falmer out of Skyrim but only because they commited massive genocide against the humans. The Cyrodiliic empire still exists today, well the 3rd one that is but is still does. I dont know were they got 400 Years from. And the guilds were rarely involed in Politics. I dont know the Origins of the Fighters Guild but the mages guild was created to basically make magic mainstream in the universe. They even state themselves that they dont want anything to do with politics. So saying "under the rule" is wrong. Also they never ruled over Tamriel. They were counselors at best. They never managed to conquer Tamriel either. The Tseaci however did for a few hundret years. (It is not clear if the tseaci are human or actual snake people). They are not continents, they are provinces. Tamriel is the continent but thats nothing more than a nitpick. Talos original name was Hjalti, he was a breton from Highrock, burned down the imperial city and killed the emperor. He conquered all of Tamriel with the help of the brass tower and the numidium. The empire remained strong all throughout the 3rd era. It was only after the oblivion crisis that the great war began and the empire got split again. Martin septim is not the hero of kvatch, the player is. They only fought merunes dagon once, but it was actually akatosh who fought him and not the hero or martin himself. They just helped creating the right conditions for this to happen. The Stormcloaks are not nearly as important as Skyrim wants you to believe. They are a small faction that are insignificant. The Dovakiin never came to Skyrim to end the civil war. He was just a guy who got captured by mistake. Also the Empire (not Kingdom) is not at peace at the end of Skyrim. The second war with the Thalmor is about to happen. Also they completely skipped the events of Morrowind, and Daggerfall. with Daggerfall being really important because of the Dragonbreak causing six events at the same time to happen. I know that not all of what I said is 100% correct as I might have remembered stuff wrong. Also TES lore is very loose. However it is a better explanation than what they provided, and a more correct one as well.

I'm so keen to find out. Hope they don't avoid giving an answer by being really vague. I honestly didn't know who to side with for ages even after playing both sides. I finally chose empire but I still sympathize with the rebellion.

So, why didn't you bring up the Alliances War in the 2nd Era? This is a major plotpoint in The Elder Scrolls: Online.
