Darth Vader is by far the easiest boss fight in both Jedi Survivor and Fallen Order. Does not take much skill to beat him and i feel very disappointed. So I thought there may be a reason for that. Firstly, Cere is a much more powerful Jedi than Cal (I know Cal is a menace when you play as him). So when you parry as Cere, it's much simplier and not unforgiving like when you play as Cal. Cere is much better with the force and combat which to me, explains why it is so easy to parry Darth Vader. Another thing is that Darth Vader is extremely powerful, and saw Cere as just any other jedi, which is why he puts little to no effort in combat and has basic attacks. He only begins to get difficult and aggressive in the final stages of the fight, because he now realises Cere is quite strong. So to conclude, I think that the developers focused more on the story in this battle than the actual gameplay, causing this boss fight to be the easiest. Not to mention Vader’s “overconfidence” is somewhat justified considering how easily he dispatched of Cere in the last game. I mean cmon, the last time he saw her was when he casually flicked her aside without a second thought and then easily disarmed her in less than 10 seconds. We also have to consider the fact that in the last 4-5 years Cere has been specifically training for Vader considering she says the line “I have been waiting”. A fully trained and prepared Jedi master is a handful for Vader, let alone a Vader that thought this would be an easy fight. (I have to say though on the gameplay side of things I wish this fight was a bit harder)

Also there's the fact that the game designers probably realised that putting an unstoppable unbeatable juggernaut that you have no chance of winning against would be very not fun to pit your player against so they settled for this instead

His suit is strong enough to withstand lava and lightsaber attacks. Sidious may have purposely gave him a shitty suit to make him weak and in constant pain but it also makes him more powerful in a few ways.

Once you realize how OP cere’s parry is this fight is super easy on grandmaster. I feel most people struggling with it are assuming it’s the same parry timing as normal, it’s not, you can basically just hold block a good second or two before each of Vader’s swings and it counts as a full parry- making this fight fairly easy.

You - sir - are a legend. 2 days i was stuck on this then i beat him first try with this.

this fight was honestly easier than a lot of the other boss fights once u get over your nerves and the fear even on grandmaster the parry timing was very generous

@@AlawiDenGhosty Interesting. I found that he was the hardest boss in the entire game (not counting the Spawn of Oggdo of course). I died A LOT in the 3rd phase.

In the final part where he's on fire, he kept pushing me to the ground but then he quickly throws burning debris before Cere can recover. One shots me every time. This fight really is not to bad but that one bullshit attack kept me from beating it lol

My suggestion is just stay close to him at all times and never be afraid to try to parry, block or do the perfect dodge when he does an unblockable attack (works plenty, although the dodge and parry may be difficult depending on the difficulty your playing on)

My tip is don’t be afraid to parry the boss on the 3rd stage. He’s should be easy to parry with cere. Another thing is you’ll notice that he’s not as aggressive after you parry him and back dash just to be safe, but you will have to attack him again if you sense that he is done attacking in order to further decrease his stance bar. When you are no longer afraid of parrying you will be able to have a lot more openings to take out his stance bar and do massive damage. I struggled with him for hours and then a couple of days later after I decided to watch a tutorial videos and noticed people partying on the final stage so that’s what I did and he became super easy on GRANDMASTER!! It was like I made it hard for myself the whole entire time lol. Edit: I just realized I took no damage lmfao.

Honestly this has been one of the hardest boss for me I defeated the legendary Spawn of Oogda (ugly frog) but Vader hits really hard and 2 or 1 shot you most of the time (with increase damage to you perk) His saber attacks and combos come out so fast and sometime do 4 hit instead of 3. Amazing memorable boss fight for me.

I’m on Jedi Master and my fight isn’t going so smooth…

Not even close to being easiest on gm. You are given the basic sword, half of Cal’s max hp and 4 stims. All other bosses tolerate x10 mistakes than this one.

The parry timing is the same as playing on jedi padawan when you play as cere and vader’s move set is very predictable and basic. Id say second easiest, easiest is 9th sister

​@AlawiDenGhosty i dont care what OP says. Parrying him is easy, but he has so many one shot attacks that make him the hardest boss in the game. Can't say how many times I took him down to a quarter health without ever taking damage, only to get one shot killed by him

Fun fact: although she has less hp, she can take more damage (more resistance) HOWEVER vader just does so much damage that the game just punishes you for messing up even for a quarter of a second

Doesn't Vader do a shitton of damage with every hit? Mayber the easier parries are supposed to compensate for that.

Maybe 🤔 if I remember correctly, he can 2 hit you instantly so i guess it does compensate for that. Like big mistake, big punishment kind of thing, but it does make it easy to not be hit though 🙆‍♂️

The easier parries are due to cere bring stronger/better than cal so this whole sequence is essentially a lower difficulty cause we're playing as someone stronger

I’m guessing cal is gunna fight against Vader in the next game for revenge for what Vader did to cere he might turn to the dark side on his own without siding with Vader since he killed his teacher cere

I'm good at the Game but boss fights I always hate. I get used to the way the enemies fight then you get to a boss fight and it's all different moves from the rest of the enemies. I hate Taking all that time to fight a boss n learn his moves just to never fight him again in the rest of the game.

Boss fights isnt really for everyone and thats ok🫡 personally i enjoy it, gives me a sense of challenge yk, and it would be weird if people like darth vader have similar movesets to normal enemies. Id say reduce the difficulty if u wanna skip on past them 🫡 its all about having fun, doesnt matter what difficulty u play

Darth Vader is almost died or killed after when Cere died but he is not a final boss.

Cal isn't strong enough to face Vader yet. He will probably be strong enough in the next game though. Hopefully he survives the encounter, since Vader obviously does.

I dont think this guy is playing jedi grand master. Either that or vader fight has been patched since

I thought it's well-known that Vader has lightsaber-resistant materials in his suit. Not enough to prevent him from getting injured, but enough to make cuts less deep.

Yeah… im not sure how you see that… shes a jedi master during the clone wars, vader says shed make a great inquisitor… she is powerful. Vader isnt someone who must not break a sweat in any fight, he must have a flawless battle and take no damage. He has struggles too, and what makes him cool is that he still wins in the end even if hes taken damage etc. in the comics he loses his leg to a jedi but no one calls him out.

I gave the first game a ton of credit for having Vader being this threat that cannot actually be fought, merely surviving to escape is victory. Then this game undoes all that credit for no good reason other than to have a silly boss battle with him.
