We need a Grievous tv show in 8 episodes with the first four about Grievous’s life before, as a war lord on Kalee and how Dooku betrayed him and transformed him, then 4 episodes with him during the clone wars, with his kills on Geonosis, a remake of the Hypori battle, and idk like explain that he became weak during an encounter with Mace Windu crushing his lungs at half the clone wars timeline, explaining why he is weak in The Clone Wars 3D. This could make Grievous op during a few episodes to then reconnect to the canon. And also the last episode should be focused on the battle of Coruscant and Grievous kidnapping Palpatine. Also the show could bring back Count Dooku like they brought back Tarkin in Rogue One, with a deepfake, and be focused on some interesting facts about the universe, like lightsaber duel styles and learning (something we never properly saw in live action and that could be seen with Dooku training Grievous), and also war strategy in the Star Wars universe, like Grievous planning his attacks on the Republic and Coruscant, and other stuffs like that

Coolest part about Grievous' fighting is his non-human fighting style. He's not playing with the limitations of a fleshy body, he can twist, spin, contract and grip in inhuman ways, like a martial art exclusive to him.

I couldn't agree more, Yup, I mean I love how he uses his feet as hands too, it's something much more alien. Too bad they got rid of all of that in the 2008(now canon) Clone Wars and in ROTS. But agreed, it's so unique and makes him stand out as a character, we haven't seen such a fighting style before or since in Star Wars.

He didn't get nerfed. You just don't see him winning. Tell me this, if Grevious was so "nerfed", why did ending the Clone Wars require his death? And if it required his death, that must mean he has secured countless victories against the Republic, considering the war was 3 years long. Imagine that. Things that happen on screen arent the sole characteristics of the character!

Thing is, he got nerfed way too much. It made sense in RotS that he'd escape when faced with both Obi-Wan and Anakin at once, a great threat even for him, and Obi-Wan with his mastery of Soresu (the most defensive lightsaber style) was the best candidate to fight him. But Dave Filoni made the mistake of basing his portrayal of the character solely on RotS, him constantly just loosing, escaping and the few times he gets a win, he needs to cheat. Kind of makes it boring when your main antagonists can never really feel like a true threat.

God how I miss when Grievous was such a badass😞 Also just my opinion but I always felt Grievous should have fought against multiple jedi at least 2 alongside Kenobi. No way Kenobi could have defended himself against 4 lightsabers

  • @gaolmiralis2247

If you think about it, no jedi could stand a chance against 4 lightsabers, unless he's Pong Krell. You have one, or maybe 2 lightsabers. There are still at least 2 arms attacking you simultaneously. And if you are fast enough to parry 4 simultaneous attacks, you are fast enough to end the fight in a second, because it means you move at the speed of light. And I don't think someone like Grievous wouldn't use his biggest advantage in a fight: attacking simultaneously from 4 different directions. Unless his robotic body has been purposedly "nerfed" so he would be killed, and thus lose the war, which would allow a certain person to gain notoriety in the Senate...

@@ianm5686 As much as I love Kenobi, there is no way he would be able to parry 4 simultaneous attacks from 4 separate directions if his opponent has the same speed as him, no matter how much of a master he is. As I said, it is only possible if Grievous has some form of skill lock on his robotical body that doesn't allow him to do this. Which sounds more logical than Kenobi being faster than Grievous and just toying with him during the entire fight while an assault is in progress and men are dying

  • @ForsakenDreamer7

@@gaolmiralis2247 Going by the novel, Kenobi can block up to 8 strikes per second maximum, while dodging up to 15. His absolute capacity of not being hit through both evasion and deflection is 18 strikes per second, atleast while fighting such a powerful opponent. The reason he's able to achieve this is because the Force acts trough him, anticipating each move of Grievous. Altough indeed, General does have some damage to his body as he's still recovering from Windu's attack. Ofcourse this explanation doesn't apply to modern Canon, there Grievous and by extension Kenobi are just noobs.

This version of Grievous was perfect for a couple of reasons. Firstly, he was an actual threat, unlike in the Clone Wars TV show (which I do love), Grievous here can actually battle Jedi, and dare I say, he does so well, taking on multiple at once and wins. In the TV show, Grievous only manages to beat lower tier Jedi, and often seems to be a coward and a minion of sorts that runs away and can't handle a real challenge, but not here, here he is as he should be, a powerhouse. Secondly, this really props up Dooku as a character as well. Just like Grievous, in the TV show, Dooku isn't portrayed as powerful as he should be, yet here, we see he is the one that trains Grievous, and can still best him, which seeing how earlier Grievous beat several Jedi by himself, it lets us know Dooku most likely could easily do so himself. Truly a fantastic character that props up another in the process, what a gem this was.

Dooku is able to best Grievous, however he's not necessarily a superior fighter. His lightsaber fighting Form is Makashi, which is extremely effective in 1v1 duels but is severely lacking once faced with multiple opponents at once. I highly doubt Dooku's ability to prevail over the 7 Jedi on Hypori.
