Hmm let's see, the Black Series Snowspeeder is 48cm while the "real" snowspeeder is 5.3m... so about 1-11. An AT-AT is 22.5m high, so it'd be... about 2m. Or 6.5 ft in freedom units. Get on it, Hasbro!

@Sod White Technically, US Customary Units are not Imperial. The Imperial system was created 30 years after the US adopted its units, which were based on the pre-Imperial British system. And then around the dawn of the 20th Century they were partially metrified, and again in 1960. So now they're a weird hodgepodge used in only one country. Pedantry FTW!

Not sure how I missed this, before? I saw this ONCE at a Walmart by where I used to live, only in town due to family thing. Never saw it again. OG ESB Speeder was my go to vehicle for years, growing up. My Joes commandeered it and it was a staple in their adventures. Mom threw away the rear gun, cleaning off the table. The canopy disappeared for years, only to turn up randomly with only a crack. Flipped the windshield around, made it an escape pod. Back engine fell off, becoming a hover canoe. 😂 Finally went into storage in 2006, lost almost everything in there in 2008. Nowadays, I barely have room for figures, let alone vehicles. (Looks at WWE Slambulance, car, and now 4wheeler….)

But my diorama pictures turned out very well with this thing. I got it at a discount off of Game stops website. yeah it will take up shelf space. There have been a few Daks throughout the history of the line. What I'm wondering, however, is if Hasbro needs permission from the actors to create a scan of their face 30 years after the fact and use it. We all know that the stars of the movies signed their likeness away, but who knows if the bit characters did?

I have mine, haven’t opened it yet. Bought two, one sealed and one to display with my vintage At-At, it doesn’t scale well but it’s cool, I created a diorama, with cotton for snow, used my airbrush to touch up the cotton to make it look like some battle has gone on, and black snow for crash marks around the speeder, I bought a pre owned snow trooper with the canon, the Hoth play set and the imperial probe, you get the picture, it’s just fun to display, I’m probably going to sell the one I opened and just buy an original vintage one because it is a bit big for scaling. It’s a beautiful ship though one of my favorite.

Wanted to say thanks for the video! I wouldn't call myself a SW collector but I own a more recent X wing my daughter bought for me a few years back but I always wanted a nice snow speeder model. So, a friend of mine opened up his new Star Wars store and that's when I learned alllllll the different snow speeder versions made over the years, holy crap! It seems like my timing was perfect as this new speeder hit the market at the time I got serious about finding one. My friend hopes to buy these at half price in the near future but I don't think he'll be buying them that way.

My son and I had a blast with this thing. When I was a kid, the only Star Wars vehicle I owned was this. I played with my friends Star Wars stuff. So this has big time nostalgia points for me. The overall piece is a joy to behold. The detail is choice. I didn’t initially find the holding ports for the loose accessories. I just popped them in the cable compartment underneath. Those tabs are super tight. I feel I’m going to break them. This thing is so awesome! I’m giddy with possibility of an AT-ST that could be made in the $175 range around the 40th of Jedi. It had to be in their radar! I have a feeling I’m going to create rotating dioramas with these. I gave yet to compare that partial AT-AT foot diorama piece. I’m sure it’s slightly under scaled. So for 2020 I’m going to celebrate Hoth. I just need an E-WEB gun...

Is it a poor design though? It's really not a huge deal if a figure can't kick it's own ass even though it's been a running joke on here forever. Like we both said, we like the look and hopefully they take it case by case like they seem to be doing. Most Star Wars characters don't need to ninja kick and get a 4 point Spider-Man stance.

@@TheFwoosh I'm fine with it in cases like this or Count Dooku where the character has baggy pants and doesn't need to be extremely acrobatic anyway, but I think it's unacceptable to regress to single-jointed knees on figures like the upcoming clone and stormtrooper that have armor plates to hide the joints anyway and need more poseability. With armored characters (especially the clones), I think the double joints with the armor plate attached to the knee/elbow look better and more natural anyway, in addition to being more functional of course. My concern is that it doesn't seem like they are taking it case by case, it seems like they're trying to transition to that for every figure to cut costs (obviously you have more connections and know more people at Hasbro than I do, so please correct me if I'm wrong there). Out of the entire first wave with the new packaging, the only figures that don't have single-jointed knees are Darth Vader and Mando, because they reused existing legs for those figures. I'm fine with the single knees on Teebo and Ackbar, but if they're even giving armored characters like clones and stormtroopers single knees, I don't see where they would use double joints in the future. To my memory, Zeb is the only new mold revealed recently that actually has double knees, and he's been in production for a lot longer than the other figs to my understanding. My only hope is that they'll take the pinless tech they're starting to use on Legends and implement it into their Star Wars stuff and we'll get more double-joints with that.

theavengingewok the clone trooper could barely lift his leg because of the armor. what was one supposed to do with double knees if you couldn’t get him in a kneeling pose anyway? it was even worse for stormtroopers.

Looking forward to getting one when I can. I still have the original version from 1980 but it's in a sad condition.

For the record, almost every single manufacturing quirk yours had, mine did too. Extra punch needed to replace the gun piece above the removable panel, landing gear sliding in on itself, canopy catching on one side, etc. None of which are deal breakers, but seems like those are design / batch issues, not one-off QC problems.

I wanna switch wedge's head onto the dak figure body for a update. Wish they would of gave us a clear stand to put it in flight mode.Reminds me of the 90s snowspeeder that had light up feat. and soundsWe need some sounds to our ships and figures hasbro. Lol putting on stickers i know alot of you don't like putting on decals but that was like ..pure satisfaction when you were finished man that was fun! Im a perfectionist so it was like 10 mins a sticker it seemed lol then if not placed correctly then sliding into place with your thumb lol but it was fun.

Cool video. My daughter went out Back East to visit my stepmother, and she went to her church. Guess who was in attendance but fucking Dak, aka John Fass Morton, who she got to me (and got me his autograph). He was also wearing the Boba Fett armor during the “He’s no good to me dead” scene.

My thought is I would either mount it on the wall or have it hanging from the ceiling in a nose dive like it’s making a pass on some ATAT legs. Awesome Snowspeeder

According to DK book the Ultimate Guide to Star Wars. Luke was reaching for a spare harpoon gun before the AT-AT walker crushed the snowspeeder in the Empire Strikes Back.

Has anyone noticed that the seatbelt for the rear passenger isn't long enough to fasten OVER the body of the figure?

I dig it. Was kinda hoping the cockpit would have opened up and barked bee's at you but I will be okay with just the review on such an awesome toy. Am I the only one who is glad they didn't include an "authentic battle damaged Dak" complete with AT-AT foot THEY NEED TO DO THAT FOR THE NEXT ONE lol jk I would offer to help store your Tie Fighter lol looks like you'll be doing alot of hanging displays buddy. Cheers.

If/when I get it, I am going to use some command strips on the landing gear and stick it right on the wall.
