That is one amazing piece! If they had only made it with the light and sounds of the original, missed opportunity. Just goes to prove that Hasbro can do good work when they bother! For the landing gear, I'd get a small block of foam that fits in the gap between the open doors and then they can't fold closed again.

As a general rule I avoid the Star Wars 6" scale stuff, but I have picked up a few here and there. But when they announced this one I had to have it. My issues with Hasbro's pre-order system not withstanding I'm very happy with it. I don't have the issue with the rear landing gear that others seem to have, mine are pretty tight. But the canopy latch is much to tight for my comfort so I have mine displayed with the canopy down but not latched. Now to the points you brought up about the removable blade on Luke's light saber and that odd removable panel on the side of the speeder, I found that there is a perfectly light saber blade sized space under that cover where I store the blade for mine and keep it safe from harm.

very nice, I know a few model makers taking their brush to this model to enhance it even further. Some great thought gone into all those accessories, these larger figures are becoming a firm favourite...sadly no space for this beauty with the R.Crest on its way. another great impassioned video...oh and by the way regarding the box...it is the 'BLACK' series after all - says Derryl DePriest, Hasbro vice president of boys marketing in 2013 - In creating something new and different with Star Wars, the color black became an inspiration for toy designers, DePriest says. "It's one of the main colors of Star Wars all the way back to the beginning, and it's the approach that Lucasfilm has taken with their collector-oriented product line. We're bringing that simplicity and essence and focus on the character now to the toy aisle."

I agree that Black Series Packaging was supposed to be aimed at More Mature Collectors, and I Really Do Love Gregory Titus' Art Work, However I think Hasbro Missed a Great Opportunity Here to have Packaged this in Retro Inspired Packaging the way they did the ESB 40TH Anniversary Black Series figures on Cardbacks, and the Retro Styled Box they used for the Re-Release of the Hoth Wampa, Exclusive figure. This would have Looked Fantastic in a Retro Styled Box as well.

The T-47 is also my favourite SW vehicle in ANY of the Sw films, not just the OT. I had been planning of buying this ever since it was announced but after watching two cents toys review, some things put me off: I know it is movie accurate but I just prefer the white version of the snowspeeder plus the size But after watching a friend's video earlier this week, I jumped on ebay & there was one for the original retail price. Only problem was that the seller had zero feedback, not even in buying, so I just couldn't. I know I may regret it down the line but c'est la vie I do have the UCS LEGO Snowspeeder which I believe is the same scale as this as well as multiple other LEGO snowspeeders. I'm gonna try & make a Hoth Wedge using a luke body. There's a bit of irony in the photo they used on the Luke card & he didn't come with a regular head. Really should've included a second head

I have to agree with every point you made, Tony. The only critique I had was the same. My rear landing gear wants to fold in with the slightest movement. I thought it was just me worrying about opening that cockpit. I felt the same way, that I might break it but it's pretty robust. I think the only thing I found that wanted to come off easily were the laser cannons and that was only with some physical playing/flying. I love the fact that every accessory provided safely stowes away inside the cockpit, too. I think the only thing I would want to add, if I really had my druthers, would be a place to stow Luke's lightsaber hilt. I totally agree with you that the addition of lights, sound, and or a motorized winch are completely unnecessary and would make the price points far too high. It's a big son-of-a-bitch but it beautiful. Love your idea for displaying on the wall. Its size really does limit most people's display options. I still don't know where and how I want to display it because I can't find a place where it fits comfortably.

Yeah I agree the landing gear could have been designed a lot better Michael Shaffer as it does seem to want to fold in on itself if you move it when it's on a hard surface or even if you lay it down on a hard surface, that's the bad point I have with this Snowspeeder.

Sorry to leave this here, but the video you did about the razor crest but the comments are not on. So I will say that I bought 1 razor crest and it doesn’t bother me at all that it got blown up. The only ship with more screen time is the falcon! So it’s not like it was in a shot or 2. 2nd most screen time of all Star Wars vehicles except the falcon. The razor crest will be the centerpiece of my collection right next to my legacy falcon. You know the first version of the 400 dollar 1 they were just selling with hondo and chewie

It does look lovely, but I think I'd just like the original toy from the 80s. A wall hanging is cool. Maybe hang from the ceiling in a dive? I'd like to see the AtAt hat goes with it.

The one thing that has always bugged me about ESB -the best SW film by a mile - as illustrated in the clip you used, is that Luke gets into the snowspeeder with his helmet not on, or even his skullcap & the canopy starts to close. There is hardly any room to move in the snowspeeder so how does he get his helmet on? 🤔 I doubt he has time or the space by the time the canopy closes

That is beautiful. I say kill the landing gear as it never had them just some display stands. Thanks

Like the tumbler & Selina Kyle were never called the Batmobile or Catwoman in the Nolan films, this was never called the Snowspeeder in ESB. That was all down to Kenner to sell the toys

It was referred to as the Snowspeeder by the production department of the film, and in the concept art.

Honestly, I would have paid more for it. Also, i'm sure they'll end up doing a vintage packaging version in a few years.

Tony - Do you think with the popularity of retro lines that MASK could be resuscitated?
