327th Star Corps journal, The battle of Tatooine: Nobody complained about the hot scorching desert on Tatooine. We never felt it. Even though we were blinded by sand and gale winds. We could see the final end of the Separatists in our blaster sights. Was it only a mirage? Perhaps. But on that day, on that planet, our blood ran hot with dreams of victory, breaking through the sand that stood in our way. P.S. I found out why the 501st battalion didn’t join the ground units. Because General Anakin Skywalker hates sand. He’s such a skybaby hahahaha😂.

🏅 THE LEGEND HIMSELF! The map turned out amazing! Kinda want to see lots of similar ones for the rest of the vanilla maps...

I like the Clone Wars-era reskin for this map, especially AT-TEs as the main assault vehicles. Although it does make me wonder: was Tatooine neutral, or Republic-held? It seems like it was part of Hutt Space, but the Hutts were in kind of a weird, not-quite-neutral state, and the Empire was in charge there later.

Tatooine was actually considered neutral until a rebel cell was discovered there. As you can see in the Star Wars the Clone Wars film, they managed to bring Jabba's son back to him, allowing him to give the Republic free passage through the Hutt territory. The planet itself was never under Republic control but the Republic was allowed to pass through Hutt space.

Real talk though, incredible desert battle that looks exactly like Echo Base battlefield.

Star Corps, Clone Troopers: Wtf are the CIS are doing with a base on a desert wasteland like Tatooine!? There’s absolutely nothing out here that worth any wealth or value!

​@@kingnamor7777In the movie for the series Star Wars The Clone Wars there was a political fight to be able to use the Hutt space in order to be able to transport the troops more quickly through the Outar Rim. The Separatists' charade took flight and Jabba allowed the Republic to use the Hutt space. You could say in lore that the Separatists didn't like that Jabba allowed the Republic to use it and not the Separatists.
