You get Yoda as the Jedi hero in classic battlefront 2 and because he is so short, he goes underwater but won’t take damage. However enemies can’t shoot him through the water essentially making him invulnerable while he swipes at their legs

@aybear3954 0 seconds ago Bf1 kashyyyk docks on the rightside dock starting from the cis there is a wall glitch to get under the dock and shot above. Looking forward to doing all the old glitches next month when the games come out again. In bf2 the scout trooper is a great class to do wall glitches.

It's absolutely insane how much detail dice was able to put into the kashyyyk map for new bf2. And to think all the giant trees with their platforms & huts are ALL to-scale in real time, and that you have a fully open and explorable venator hanger, it's an incredible design, and really makes you feel like you're part of a massive battle on a huge map.

Yes Kashyyyk Islands is BRUTAL as the Empire, especially on hard. I even on medium or sometimes easy I’d lose and it drives me nuts.

I've beaten Kashyyk islands a LOT on Hard mode.

2024 and I woke up to play a few rounds of Hoth, only to find this video posted today. Life is rad.

I remember the CIS just insta losing in Battlefront 1 on the Kashykk maps because of charging headfirst through the water and exploding en masse

The one shot you’ve labelled as kashyyk in ANH, i’m pretty sure that’s over Yavin’s moon. Not kashyyk.

I believe they reused footage from Episode IV for the Holiday Special, so that's probably why. Most of the shots of Kashyyyk are a single matte painting, and the shots of the Falcon are as basic as it gets (cockpit only internally).

Wookiee destroying there own base is perfect

I'd say that in BF2 (2005) the CIS got vehicles and not the Republic because they have Wookies on their side (which are not counted as units when you kill them) alongside walls protecting the last CP

This video showed up on my recommended, and I have been binging so much of your channel just for the battlefront videos. BF 1&2 were my childhood, and EA's BF2 is genuinely one of my favorite multiplayer shooters (in its current state).

Kashyyyk Docks is my favorite map to snipe from. The high docks make a great perch to go prone and camp. Or if you are empire/separatist then you can pilot your recon droid under the high docks and use your orbital strike to take out everyone on top for easy spam kills.

Gosh, i loved doing gigantic jumps on speeders on this map

My favorite strategy for kashyyk islands is to fly a bomber and just continuously drop on the hords of enemies in the middle. It usually nets me 50 plus kills per match. Never tried it on hard though.

If u jump a then hold the grenade button in air u get to hold ur grenade... Even with mine and healthpack

I remember being able to just cut down the CIS reinforcements on BF2 kashyyyk because Yoda is straight up invincible while in the water

Why are there subtitles in some parts of the video and in others not? You could also use the youtube subtitles so viewers can disable them if they want.

You make a good point. I usually put them because I think it improves retention but have to confirm (& I also don't include them everywhere because some moments I want to focus what's on screen.) I might try the KZread ones though as you said since it lets the viewer choose. Thanks for the suggestion

Kashyyyk is the best map to gain the high ground, I do wish the Wookiee were playable like in the new game (for the Republic), plus add in their ships like the ones in the movies and more wookiee weapons like the long-gun or the X-1 Carbine

They chose the ewoks and Endor over the wookiees and Kashyyyk because of the budget.

You can actually get tanks on top of the high platforms on both sides of the map in classic bf2. I even have a video of a cross map tank battle taking place on the platforms.

Classic SWBF kashyyyk is probably my favorite version of the map. Specifically Kashyyyk Docks as Kashyyyk Islands is such a nightmare to play on as the Empire.

Idk if you covered it, but something I’ve recently discovered is that while playing as Anakin on Mustafar, despite being on the Imperial team if you attempt to order a trooper around you will hear the rebel announcer ordering everyone to give the hero room. What’s even more interesting however is that Anakin does have the correct faction dialogue on the DLC map Yavin Arena.

I recall seeing a sniper killing a youtuber I watch on Kashyyk in one of his Battlefront 2 videos. So that's how he got up there.

The droidekas being unable to swim is not a hidden detail? How is that hidden?

Was there ever a reason why the LAAT gunships have limited ammo for missiles in these games? Other ships have unlimited ammo.

Fun Fact: Kashyyyk is in every game (including the GDD of Frontlines - the first draft of Battlefront), except the DS version of Battlefront 3 Elite Squadron. Bespin is also missing from the DS version. I wonder if Kashyyyk and Bespin were cut because of time constraints and the devs couldn't finish those levels in time, or they were not planned to be included at all. Personally I suspect it is the time constraints but it is just a speculation on my part. Someone need to ask the DS devs themselves. The DS does have Desolation Station and Dathomir though as well as a mission on Geonosis which was supposed to be a planned multiplayer map DLC for Battlefront 3; the other known being Naboo. Another fun fact: The only Locations to be featured in every single game and the Frontlines GDD are Hoth, Tatooine and Yavin 4. Endor too if you exclude Frontlines. P.S. I'm not counting the Battlefront's for Mobile, DICEfronts, Slant Six's cancelled version or the the Lucas Art's attempt at Battlefront: First Strike. If I did then it will be either Hoth and Tatooine or more likely just Tatooine.

When you drive a damaged vehicle near to a Bacta oder Ammo Deoid in Battlefront 2005 a popup message will appear at the bottom of the screen which tells you that only repairing Droids which appeared in the first battlefront repair vehicles ALTHOUGH these droids don’t exist in battlefront except in a few mods

I should be famous then because back in 05 through to 2010 Star wars Battlefront, 1 and 2, were the only games I played and I beat Kashyyyk Islands as the empire all the time. I was also incredibly rough on myself when I was a kid and restarted the match every time I died one time because I liked being able to finish battles without dying once

Kashyyyk Islands is not that hard once you figure out how to bug it. There are a lot of hiding spots in which you can take the command posts. It's more difficult Empire side yes. Rebel side, you can beat it in under five minutes.
