The entire Enterprise ship dissapears and Picard says to Crusher: "We've never needed a ship before"
This is one of my favorite episodes of all of trek, I found it creepy the way the computer kept answering questions to the best of its ability "the universe is a spheroid region 705 meters in diameter", "a flaw in the ship's design", "no ship structures exist forward of bulkhead 342"

It's easily amongst my top 5 episodes of all time...one episode I like a bit better? The one where Riker is doing a play written by Beverly but he keeps having mental lapses and starts flashing back and forth between a Romulan mental facility for the insane and then back on the Enterprise where he keeps practicing his lines for Beverly's play..."Frame of Mind" is the name of the episode! I think it's probably my absolute favourite episode of this amazing series!!!

A lot of their criticisms are valid, but the creepy surrealism bit is something I really love across a number of TNG episodes that stand out for me despite maybe being shallow in other ways.. this one is high up there for that

Loved this episode.
"Out run the Script" that was a great line
I don't know guys, I liked this one a lot. It's just the kind of goofy high concept sci-fi bullshit that I enjoy in my trek every once in a while. Plus, the image of Picard just sitting alone on the bridge tickles me every time I think of it.
This is actually my fav tng episode. Cant say why. Probably because the idea of the episode is so creepy. Slowly loosing everyone you care about and love, and no one remembering a single thing about them.
I love when Beverly gets in an argument with the computer, where it says:"That information is not available." and she answers: "Got ya, didn't I!"
C'mon this was a fun episode and gave Gates an opportunity to do more. You guys really need to lighten up.
I love this one simply for the surreal humor arising from Beverly being the only person aware of how bizarre her situation is. "If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!" is one of the more quoteable moments of TNG. Also German TNG trivia: In this episode when she asks "Computer, what is this mist I'm seeing?" the German translators forgot to translate the word "mist", however "Mist" _is_ German for "trash", so translated back to English what she asks in the German dub is "Computer, what is this trash I'm looking at?".

I just re-watched the German dub with my kids yesterday and that line stood out to us, too. Funnily enough, a "WTF is this crap now?" moment doesn't feel too out of character, given that Beverly is already quite agitated at that point.

That German bit is fantastic.. but also agree on the surrealism. When Picard is totally fine with the idea that sure the Enterprise is just himself and Beverly .. “we’ve never needed anyone else before”.. ? Great moment.
It's a good thing the anomaly erased people in order of importance to the show. It would be pretty awkward if the last two people on the ship were Beverly and Ensign Gomez.
Fun Fact: Gates McFadden did her own stunts for this episode, including that harsh landing. She found out right after that she was pregnant. 😲 PS, the baby was fine!
I'm slowly working my way through every one of ya'll's videos, though my work schedule and internet quality are putting up a heck of a resistance. I hope you guys keep this up because this is the best content on KZread right now.
The best part is Beverly leaping in and she sees Wesley collapsed and possibly dead but just says hey to the traveler

That part was hilarious. No one cared about Wes being slumped over on the ground lol
This channel really should have more subscribers. The reviews are high quality and well made. I always tend to see certain Trek episodes through rose colored glasses. Appreciate the work guys! I always look forward to the next one and how you guys are gonna challenges my perception of any episode next.
You think this was a bad episode? I hope you have the perseverance to review Voyager one day.

They think every episode is bad.
This is actually one of the BEST episodes of Star Trek TNG. Oh, wait! When you said "forgettable", you were reversing the angle, right? You actually meant, memorable!
For some reason I found it hilarious how the traveler talked so damn slow here.. I don't remember him doing that in the other ones he was in.
6:15 Im surprised they didnt quote Obi Wan here “Use the force Wesley. Let go Wesley”
I have to agree with most of the comments here, this was not a bad episode at all, on the contrary it's one of the best Beverly episodes in the whole TNG and it has quite a good atmosphere (when more and more crewmembers "disappear"). I would give it a B- at maximum.
You guys really need your own show in the style of MST3K. I think you'd be a huge hit.

They have one - here.
I really like this episode. Sometimes it's good to have a episode that is a bit silly, but still enjoyable. What do guys have against Beverly?
I love how Crusher is essentially gaslighting herself.
That time when Bev got so high she created another universe ...
Lol good episode. :-) Never thought about the similarities to Poltergeist. Ah yes, The Traveler, aka Wesley's "elderly gentleman friend". I think if I had the choice of a girlfriend on Earth or traveling time and space with a weird single guy who is 30 years older than me, I'd choose the former. I enjoyed this episode. It's one of those "bottle" episodes where we never leave the ship but still entertaining. Casually allowing Wesley to perform this experiment on a starship instead of a lab is really silly, I agree. But I liked how Dr. Crusher uses deduction to solve the mystery of what the hell is going on. And some hilarious lines from Beverly: "Worf. Chief of security. [pause] The big guy who never smiles? [pause] The Klingon!" "If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!" Lol the last line sounds like something a typical Karen/Beverly Crusher would say.

This episode is basically "How much and for how long can we gaslight Beverly Crusher?"

@@reverseangle And then on to Stargate!
I think this episode is supposed to be a representation of what happens to someone with dementia, their reality and memories degrading over time.
Dang you guys are harsh. I always thought this was a fun little thriller filler episode. Nothing substantial, just a sort of living nightmare that would be terrifying to actually be in.
I thought this video was quite funny at times but I disagree, this is one of my favorite episodes. Mostly for the mystery of it. I was fascinated with it the first time I watched it. I wanted to tell everybody I knew all about it. Well anyway… onto the next one…
Outrun the script......that line earned you a sub. lol
you would think by now they would have a remote outpost remote controlled to mess with experimental warp drives
My favorite ridiculous line from this episode that I still remember after all these years: "If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!" LOL. I have to admit, as a teenager, this was one of my favorite episodes. But the part with Wesley and The Traveler was always cringey and annoying.
One of my favorite episodes of TNG. Not "A" material, but still probably in my top 30 episodes. I just enjoy a good mystery and this one kept you guessing throughout most of the episode. It's also kinda creepy so a decent Halloween watch too.
There's your warp bubble welsley...
I like this one.
What happens if Beverly gathers the bridge crew, asks the computer how many people are on the ship, writes the answer down on a piece of paper, and repeats a few hours later? Does the computer give a different answer, thus providing evidence for her assertions? Or does the written number change to the current total? If so, would it change in real time or just when a new number is announced? Would only Beverly be able to see this? The real shame is this is probably the best Beverly episode.

Yeah, I thought she should write the number of crew members left on Picard’s head
If only the KZread ads could get sucked into an alternative universe. I actually liked this episode. I can watch it again because the plausibility is through the roof.
I’m just glad Beverly spells Quaice during the episode! And what an apt description for this episode... Worf- “Of course. Please proceed.” And thank god we didn’t have to deal with any proper doctors in this one! Lol! Personally... I’d say. The only thing I think of when I hear “remember me” is a giant flame belching statue of Bender from Futurama. Lol!
Gee, mom. Sorry I imploded the universe on ya. It probably WILL happen again.
I thought the Enterprise was huge but it's tiny going into the Mother Ship! I'm guessing Enterprise has 500-1000 staff but the Mother must have thousands!

Its a starbasr... and yes, its a nationstate in space.
By far the best Beverly episode
That phrase was stolen from StarWars! It´s supposed to say: TRUST YOUR FEELINGS, LUKE!
I know cruelty is you all's shtick. I get it. But, damn, it was the 100th episode of the series. The writer's probably fucked off 'cause they needed a break. (me laughing!)
This made no sense. So Beverly is in an artificial universe where the other people are not real? What are they if they're not real?
Once again, one of Wesley's experiments almost gets someone killed. The episode is decent if you FF through the middle half hour of Beverly in distress. It was a cool concept/premise overall.
Can you imagine if the whole Enterprise exploded, killing over 1000 people, because Picard decided to let some young adult experiment with the warp drive?
Aw, this is one of my favorite episodes. I just love the absurdity of it all. Like the universe being a spheroid region with a diameter of 705 meters. =)
That was a good episode. The only bad thing really was the solution with the traveler who I didnt like in the first place ^^
You’re so mean. This was one of my favourites in the 90s😂
I liked this one. Fun space horror. Maybe it would have been better if the viewer was left in the dark a little more until the end of the episode.
actually very '50's tech-noir drama
Straight B, very memorable idea and execution but somewhat lame solution.
I always liked Beverly Crusher but they really didn't' give her much character development in the whole series. She had a few episodes that ended up being poorly written.
Great show I like the real creepy episodes
Another episode, another open question as to whether the Traveller has mild or spicy sausage fingers.

Yet again, another episode where you all are really harsh. As many of the comments have pointed out is now your "thing."
One of the best episodes. And it got a D+ . Harsh.

Wow. Your reviews are entertaining, but here again you slam another classic episode for shock value.
Right on point. D+. Not a episode I would actively want to see again.
I wish there was an alternative review channel because the consistently bad takes here are infuriating. But alas, I keep coming back
"Remember me... Or don't. In this totally forgettable episode"... harsh but fair
I suspect the Traveler is a MAP.
At this point in the series you have to wonder if RDM was out that day or something. I recently watched this episode and it's easily one of the most forgettable episodes of TNG. After the first 10-15 minutes I was ready for it to end. D- is the correct grade for this one. It's a shame because Beverly rarely gets a good episode.
