I think the Phrase "Its better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" sums it up pretty well. As a Stand alone episode, I thought it was the best one of the entire series so far. Does well to develop La'An's character, and gives us a great performance from alternate Kirk. The chemistry the actors had together was fantastic, and it reminded me of when Voyager went to the 20th century.

Actually they DID specify the year - sort of. The Romulan agent said she'd been stuck on Earth since 1992 for 30 years. Thus, 2022. :)

I love the fact that Khan is now Canadian. So much for our "nice guy" reputation - we Canucks are gonna TAKE OVER THE WORLD! :) And yes: poutine has gravy.

"Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow" is from Shakespeare. That was a Romulan ship as they looked in the first season of The Original Series. Of course, the Department of Temporal Investigation has nothing to do with Section 31.

The Romulan ship looked like an early Romulan ship from TOS, before they got ship designs from the Klingons.

I know what you mean by a Jim Carrey vibe. When I first saw this actor in 1x10 I kept waiting for him to say "All rightey then". But I got over it and I think he does a good job as Kirk.

Here in Germany, Paul Wesley (Kirk) has the same dubbing voice as Chris Pine. 😉

Apparently you missed Kirk's change in attitude when he found out his brother Sam was alive in La'An's timeline. "Sam's alive?"

That wasn't a Romulan Warbird, those are from TNG, DS9, & Voyager era. Warbirds are green & hundreds of times bigger than the ship in the picture. That was a Romulan Bird Of Prey. They were seen in TOS episodes Balance of Terror & The Enterprise Incident, towards the end of Season 1 of Picard, and in the final episode of SNW Season 1 (the last time Kirk showed up, the Romulan ship that was attacking outposts & destroyed the USS Farragut). Fun fact- the Klingon Bird Of Prey, introduced in Star Trek III was originally supposed to be a Romulan BOP, as the original villains were going to be Romulan, but they changed them to Klingons instead but still kept the Bird Of Prey name for the ship. That is why there is both a Romulan & Klingon Bird Of Prey. I believe that's also why the Next Generation Romulan ships were called Warbirds, to cut down on the confusion.

Yeah, I noticed it also when watching but wasn't sure it was exactly the "Relativity" UI, but the TrekCulture comments for this one mentioned it was and that Temporal Investigation lady was probably from the 28th or 29th century. Pretty sick actually.

Tritium Watches do exist Germany and Switzerland banned the use of tritium paint and most watchmakers discontinued use by 1998 And Temporal agents don't care about anything from the past, only items from the future

Another great episode of your show the reason Pelya you did not remember her because that was another timeline. And it just doesn’t exist anymore hence, tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow there was Kirks timeline Laon timeline and when we know and now and when they go back to Toronto that’s another timeline when they met Pelea back in Toronto that created another divergent timeline. Hence tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow through tomorrow instead of two now once she they fix the timeline though that timeline to so she didn’t remember meeting them because she didn’t yet I know it’s confusing that’s how it works and Star Trek temporal mechanics always give you a headache that’s what Scotty always says I hope I helped you and didn’t bor you!

Dude.... You've got to learn some patience. Romulan girl was explaining why the eugenics wars hadn't happened yet because they were supposed to happen in 1992 to 1996. Have you ever watched The wrath of Khan?

Yes I have but that was like 30 years ago. I barely remember what i did yesterday lol. I heard the explanation which why she been stuck there since 1992 but what throws me off, Khan is a kid here and its not the 90s. So yea idk. He was an Adult in the 90s during his rise to power.

@@Funk_Reactions They specifically explained in this episode with a single line basically *why* things in our prime timeline are now slightly delayed compared to TOS era timings etc. The Romulans (and others I would assume) have been slowing Human development over the decades in the past, where Sarah was sent back to the early 90s and has been stuck there for 30 some odd years because the Eugenics Wars on Earth were supposed to happen between 92-96 and has been pushed back to presumably around 2030 or 2032 maybe now considering Khan's age here (I assume he's 10 or so). I don't think WW3 has been affected yet or First Contact, but they have to start being careful with some of this wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff down the line :D
