@@curtisharvey2330 It’s named after pre-Soviet and Soviet director Lev Kuleshov. Basically it’s the interplay of facial expressions and what’s being “reacted to”. Here it looks like Geordi is unintentionally stunned at Worf and Raffi’s blunders, and it looks like it was intentional that way, even though it wasn’t.

@@curtisharvey2330 The Kuleshov effect is a thing in film where if you show two shots back to back, your audience will reflexively connect them contextually. Most famously demonstrated in the classic surrealistic short film "Un Chien Andalou".

It's a fine Star Trek tradition for the actors who play the most stoic characters to be the biggest cut-ups. Michael Dorn, Tim Russ, and Brent Spiner are all well known for their antics!

He was born in 2340, and Picard Season 3 takes place in 2401. So he's only 61 years old at this point. Seems like he's graying early for a Klingon. (Or there are some time shenanigans.)

After enduring a firefight, Worf and Raffi both needed a drink. Of course, it turned into a case. You know Worf is drunk when he smiles, laughs and says 'sorry.' A sober Klingon never turns into a Canadian. (Even though both have more in common than people think)

It’s a new trend that I hope dies out soon. Almost everything sci-fi and horror is shot so darkly. It’s supposed to be gritty and real, but it’s just tough on the eyes and depressing overall.
