He was split in two by the door and the guy who arrived on to the Bridge was a third Riker, Billy-Tom.

I love the implication that Riker clumsily falls down, then walks onto the main bridge as if he's trying to play it cool

@@DarkGob Yeah I'm assuming it's because the outtake itself was only ever available as a VHS bootleg, so making everything else match that integrates it more seamlessly.

I was thinking "man, the edit is so smooth I missed the blooper...oh...no I didn't"😂

He needed to do the "Riker Maneuver" on that doorjamb.

He forgot he was on the Defiant and not Enterprise. Jonathan Frakes, I mean. He was so use to the Enterprise doors and forgot the Defiant doors open differently.

Oh, that NEVER occurred to me that that was a DS9 blooper!

The transporter accident that created Thomas Riker damaged the part of his brain that held the info "Some walls have moving parts called 'doors'". 😉

Oh man, I've seen this blooper so many times and always thought that delightful laugh was from Marina Sirtis.

Things like this ought to be written into the shows every so often to keep us, and the characters, on our toes.

Yeah, there's quite a few of these I think would work well being kept in the episodes themselves.

I love when the INtake is far enough into the posted scene that I forget I'm watching an integrated blooper reel. It makes the moment hit so much harder haha

I often wondered how people didn’t trip over those excessive door thresholds in DS9 and Defiant… I guess the actors actually often did trip over them 😂

Honestly, you try to save a buck by purchasing the store brand, and you wind up with Great Value Riker. Next thing you know you've been kidnapped in your own ship and the guy is tripping through every door he can find. Shrinkflation at its worst!

ShurFine Riker was pretty good, but they stopped making that brand. ValuTime Riker is just trash. I haven’t tried the Essential Everyday Riker yet.

He thought he saw Jessi while looking at Kira. Us guys develop 2 left feet in situstions like that

Am I the only one that hates the fact the DS9 hasn't had a HD remastering? I remember seeing the episode of TNG that visited DS9 with the prominade clear and bright and it makes me sad we can't see that for DS9.

Apparently it'd be significantly more expensive to remaster DS9 compared to TNG or TOS for a much smaller audience. I'd like to see it myself, but I can easily believe the return on investment isn't there, especially since no one is buying Blu-Rays anymore.

Oh, it's real rough. Maybe I'd think different if I was seeing all the edges of the prosthetics and actor's marks and everything, but right now I'd far prefer that we didn't have either TOS or TNG remastered if we could have DS9. There's a lot of weird questions for remastering too: do you reproject the comm calls that the original captured off a tiny CRT screen in camera? Do you preserve the look of the cheesy early CGI morph for Odo or reinterpret it? Do those commonly reused matte painting establishing shots get CGI versions, since they had animated elements added?
