tbh for me theyre actually really good. i like them skinny and weird yet the akhal tekes look extremely outdated, the marwaris are shaped like a banana with lordosis and this one is finally normal and acceptable among these types of horses

I adore saddlebreds in irl and theyre one of my fav breeds so this just became my new favorite horse in the game! my friend has 2 irl 😂💖 but you are so valid they are strange looking irl as well and not everyone's cup of tea for sure I wish we had updated dogs also 🥲

I think their model is kinda pretty, but yeah, really similar to the Marwaris. Watching this, I also thought of the Marwari horses, just because of the neck and really skinny head shape. I do understand that they're gaited horses, however like you said, I believe that the head and neck are so stiff to represent the short reins that saddleseat riders use on them, which is kind of disappointing in my opinion. I wanted to see these horses represented freely. It bugs me that their heads are so drawn in close to their chests. I would've loved to see their heads held higher and out more. It just makes the trot, canter, and gallop look odd. And I agree so much on the racking move too! When I first saw the spoiler, I was like, "Um, no thanks," lmao. Don't appreciate how lazy SSO was with that special gait and how they just float across the ground like that. Also, not really a fan of how their tails are so up and pointy. Makes the rear look weird too 😭

about to get the dapple grey one, i normally don't have many of those but it's so pretty imo

Thank you for this video. I'm glad you did mention the necks. They're realistic for short reins, which I also don't like the appearance of. I love the appaloosas and paints because they just look so relaxed.

Its a buckskin (pretty sure) duns have dorsal stripes and the base of there tail is often the same color as their coat and fades into the darker color

I had an internal warfare for me to buy between the silver buckskin or the rose grey dapple. This Saturday will allow me to buy the horse so I'm really excited ♡♥︎♡

Most of these coats are really nice, but I would love a bright chestnut with a wide blaze and four socks just below the knee.

i feel like the head is too tucked in for this breed, esp the canter. the canter looks like it’s bordering on rollkur 😭 what also sucks is they didn’t add a chestnut, which is the most common coat for this breed.

I only liked that silver dun/buckskin and the dapple bay. The rose dapple/grey dapple doesn’t look right too me; The tail texture makes the fade look weird. My first pick was also the silver dun/buckskin and I’m considering getting the bay dapple as well.

At my barn my saddle breds were SASSSSY lil dudes.. they were so spicy so I think they captured them pretty well

American saddlebred horses are absolutely beautiful, I do think there are some inaccuracies in the game but I mean it is also a stylized game. Either way their natural gait is pretty cool, as long as it ain’t soring or big lick

I think they just need to loosen up the neck a bit and speed up the animation for the sliding gait

Should I get an Ardennes, American saddlebred or a dartmoor pony? Those are the only horses in my mind

Ugh I wanted a flaxen chestnut so bad but I hate the face marking on the one they did 😭 maybe the app horse will be a plain chestnut? Cause you are right, most people think chestnut when they think American Saddlebred

i actually really like these horses, if you ignore the slow gallop. My gripe is that the player taking one hand off the reins makes the progression from halt to gallop like at the start of a race look really goofy. The player aswell just looks too big for the horse, and it makes the horse look like its been shrunk because the proportions would be correct if the horse was a bit larger. I think the old characters would have looked so good with the saddlebreds. I really like the horse but its the player character that lets it down imo.

Not my favorite type of horse irl either but I like them in sso! It's nice to have variety. I purchased 3. Personally I like them more than the selle francais, I just can't with the butt wiggle they do 😣 the model is beautiful but I much prefer the animations of the saddlebreds.

Hey I have both, imo the american saddlebred is a bit more well finished especially if it's abt the gaits, both models are really pretty tho, for the coats the selle is more classic and the AS is more exotic so it's abt your personnal taste on that bcs in both cases they're really pretty, but yeah the AS would win for me bcs the animations are better

personally, I love the model, it´s the coats I do not vibe with. I love buttermilk buckskins but the transition of the black legs on this one just ruins it for me, so I will likely get the dark bay as I love irregular face markings

The moment I saw them and their gates I knew it’s not my type of horse… It def looked sm worse in the trailers though. Saving for cloud kingdom anyways.

For me the animations are broken. It stays fast gallop on the speed rack and special animation.

I honestly need a refund for the saddlebred that I bought. I haven't felt like I made such a huge mistake like this in a long time. I think it's just their appearance that made me wanna buy them, but their gaits fr threw me off and I regretted buying one sec after :,) I'm definitely not a fan of these ones
