Star One - Lost Children of the Universe (Roy Khan, Tony Martin, Marcela and Irene, Steve Vai)

Музыка

ArjenAnthonyLucassensStarOne....
This 10-minute epic is the first video clip/single of the new Star One album Revel in Time. The lyrics are inspired by the movie Interstellar.
This is a slightly different version than on the CD. On CD1 Roy Khan sings the lead vocals and on CD2 Tony Martin sings the lead vocals. For this KZread version I combined their voices. Both such great singers, I just couldn’t choose! Hope you enjoy it, please let me know in the comments below. Thanks for your attention!

Lost Children of the Universe
Roy Khan:
storms are blazing over barren lands
stars are fading in the skies
our world is dying
her precious life, soon a memory
our race will not survive
we all know… it’s over
Tony Martin:
ghostly signs from another world
mysterious symbols reappear
an unworldly warning
a guiding light from the maze of time
our race may just survive
there is hope… it’s not over
it’s not over…
Hellscore Choir:
fuga!
finis mundi omnes imminet
sola via est scientia
sed inceptum est mortiferum
agendum est!
perdurus - agilis - iuvenis
olim natam revisat
Roy Khan:
time is our enemy
as we depart into the great unknown
setting forth for worlds beyond
into the blackness
captured by gravity
we journey on towards the cosmic void
and make our way across the galaxy
in search of our future
in search of a dream
in search of our lives
Marcela Bovio and Irene Jansen:
we are the future, we own the stars
we are explorers, the sky is ours (the sky is ours)
we are the keepers, a million souls
the lost children of the universe
Tony Martin:
caught in a quandary
save the billions we abandoned
or save the future of humanity
in search of our new home
in search of a dream
in search of our lives
we are the future, we own the stars
we are explorers, the sky is ours (the sky is ours)
we are the keepers, a million souls
the lost children of the universe
as we are reaching for the stars
guitar solo: Steve Vai
fuga!
terra tremit fame horrida
finis mundi omnes imminet
spes salutis paret minima
sola via est scientia
inter stellas nova patria
sed inceptum est mortiferum
tempus fugit
agendum est!
pater - perdurus - audax - agilis - amor - iuvenis
olim natam revisat
nata - cupiens - amans - aspera - ira - vetula
olim patrem revisat
we are the future, we own the stars
we are explorers, the sky is ours
we are the keepers, a million souls
the lost children of the universe
as we are reaching for the stars
Roy Khan:
can you feel me in this coil of time
can you find me in this maze
in this dimension
deep down you know it was always me
our race will now survive
a new start... it’s not over

Well, I have begged the Universe to send him back to the kitchen to peel the potatoes for a decade or so ... he has no darkness inside to carry the notes in the music. Black Sabbath was really not his business .... BUT he has been peeling those potatoes long enough now ... it's amazing! Tony Martin has the power now ... Thumbs up for this. I feel impressed and am a little bit sad that I have sent so much irritation in his direction ... he is a real hard working living artist ... We can not love all artists' products .....

I feel Arjen Anthony Lucassen is vastly underrated. There's a handful of guys out there that seem to have a deep well of phone numbers for people to call in throwing quality musical projects together: Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, Tobias Sammet, Billy Sherwood & Steven Wilson all jump to mind for me. Must be me but the latest CONCEPTION music does not really evokes the same in me as the Roy Khan led Kamelot stuff does/did. I always appreciated earlier CONCEPTION albums but the same as above, it didnt move like when he was in KAMELOT. Although I m an agnost I respected his wish to lead his life in a religious way but felt surprised because IMHO Kamelot never a satanic metalband. It never ceased to lift my spirit when being depressed. Then he returned with CONCEPTION, which is also metal. I m afraid there were more important reasons to get out of KAMELOT way back.

Really, they actually call him that? Wow, general delusion is really worsening these days, seriously... there's hardly ANY resemblance whatsoever, but I get that folks always have to make "comparisons" from lack of.... something. The same folks regarding sports and stuff, "ooooh, he's the new Maradona, or 'whoever'..." Talk about taking AWAY from any actual INDIVIDUAL being referenced, on BOTH ends. (IE You're not doing ANY of 'em a favor with such 'flattery'...) I realize you mean it to have the OPPOSITE effect, but it really doesn't... I totally get references like "Bach is the OT of music, and Beethoven the NT", but Tuomas is Tuomas, Maradona was Maradona, Mozart was Mozart... and Arjen is just fine as being Arjen, not 'Metal Mozart' (shit, that really sounds as silly as it is too... 'metal Mozart'... sheeesh)

@@maxhult830 I see what you're getting at, but I strongly disagree with your point of view. Honestly, I think you're the one being delusional here :P

  • @maxhult830

    @maxhult830

    2 жыл бұрын

@@Dealman15 I understand that it's not meant to be taken literally, and is just meant as a compliment, but it's a bit confusing when there's no real connection to be found... My point was that it's not necessarily flattering for an upcomer to be compared with by-gones. Sports is an obvious example. They should be recognized for their OWN achievements, in their own right, while the old guys names shouldn't be a commodity to use for ones purpose of praising some unrelated individual. If a composer wants to acknowledge some of his inspiration, like if Tuomas says "This part is heavily influenced by Mozart, I borrowed some ideas to extrapolate on here..." that's great. Then it could be a compliment to both. Look, I don't know ish about tennis... but I hear Djokovic is a great tennis player today, so I'm gonna compliment him by comparing him to Björn Borg, because he also was a great tennis player in his day. Their styles are probably nothing alike, I have no idea, but just to illustrate what I mean. It's just the typical "compliment" from someone who knows nothing about tennis, I guess... as there's no SUBSTANCE to it.
