Someone in my org group said "Hot take but I don't really give a fart about JT or xenothreat" and we all agreed. We'd all rather have a working game and the cargo update than an event.

i'd like to see xt again since they've done the new missions leading up to it but they should just abandon JT in my opinion. jumptown is dumb and they should feel bad for forcing it on us every few months.

4.0 is anounced for q3 (september), and if you read the may monthly report, all devs are working on 4.0 since may, except for the team working on finishing up 3.23.2.

One thing I like about Mike is that he is not a big stooge. He always tells upfront and non- biased.

Yeah, it's an alpha, Mike. But it's also a live service game. CIG have said it themselves and it's been failing on that front for years. You are well within your rights to criticize that and should.

It is an Alpha when you run into numerous bugs and bad design. It's a live service when you want a refund. Remember, CIG argued and won in court when sued saying the game IS released.

Good points, I literally stopped playing as hints towards another reset remain.

Every once in a while I come back to check in with star citizen and everybody is always like “I’m still waiting!” Even though the update they were previously waiting for not so long ago got pushed out.

Take their time when not selling ships? Buddy, they are always taking their time. It's been 12 years and it's currently at about 15% of what the game should be.

I played 2 weeks ago, the game crashed and recovered every 10 minutes then CTD, get back in and same thing. Decided im not playing till 3.23.2. Not it looks like I will be waiting for several months

Happy you are on the mend... Was sick for a few days last week. Washroom had me as a frequent flyer 😂 Just playing clear out bunkers and outposts. 1SCU boxes not working for storing loot. Tractor beam them into bunker and they only work as mobile wall protection. Tractor beam not working all the time. Pick up a thug with tractor beam & drop off on Elevator only to have the thug teleport back to where we originally located him. Spawn lockers/Elevators puking out thugs constantly...makes for a good fight but eventually we were overwhelmed. Fun actually.

Thanks for the vid, i went on today to just fly and explore and i must admit i was blown away. flew to pyro jumpgate and found a massive astroid that looked drilled through. its massive and beautiful, deffo worth a visit. i try not to play the game as such nowdays, just enjoy the immersion. Hopefully 4.0 i can sink my teeth in a bit, im also very much looking forward to having my own hanger.

Thanks @SaltEMike and glad to hear you are on the improve :) Good that you picked out of PTU release note the couple of important notes regarding fixing systemic issues that aren't specific to xenothreat. I'd really like to see 3.23.1a on the PU, which means we can see the _back_ of xenothreat sooner and get on with the "meat and potatoes", being 3.23.2 Persistent Hangars cycle through Evo -> PTU -> PU I've been taking the opportunity of doing some regulation space truckin' in big ships, before it becomes more effort intensive (if not outright broken) when 3.23.2 drops! Might as well do this since there's no point salvaging RMC whilst the duping exploit remains in play and for other activities, half the missions are still broken.

Server stability has not been great and some Merc missions are consistently bugged, but my friends and i have been playing. ROC mining works pretty well consistently and brings in decent money per time spent. My favorite and most lucrative thing to do at the moment is to take our group of 3 or 4 to do destroy contraband merc missions and then sell all the weevil eggs, slam, and maze for roughly 400k each time. Takes planning and teamwork but is fun. Lately it's been working well for these missions and has been a good time.

Yeah I paused Sc since after the end of Invictus because server perf had me frustrated and i wanted a reset , + cargo update , so bit annoyed but hopefully they worked good on that 3.23.2 !

Yooo I had that fever a couple weeks ago. 104+ temps for 4 days. Just laid in bed all week. Absolutely brutal. Feel better man

In all honesty this is among the worst comms I've seen in a while from CIG. How does 3.23.1a have ANYTHING to do (theoretically) with 3.23.2? They've basically shut all progress down. NOBODY CARES about XenoThreat or Jumptown 2.0 when you can't even play LIVE!!!!???? Wake up CIG!!!

Stress from XT is clearly exposing some serious server issues, no point pushing on until these are sorted, wish they would just drop the exploit patch in the meantime

I would be happy with a Q&A for the Ironclad. I guess I will just keep flying around my amazing slow 400i in MM.

I'm nearly done with it all, first Master modes and now delays to patches to wait for sales events. Feels like 10% of the teams are are doing 90% of the real work and the results in patches are poor. Please to hear they are working on 4.0 but what does that mean we actually get to play? Probably won't be doing any combat until they roll back master modes. Can't remember how long it took last time hopefully less than a year 😢

AI was pushed from PU to SQ42. This isn't the first time they have said it. They changed the document once after I read it and this is the second time ai updates have been mentioned from going from PU to SQ42

Invictus 2023 they mentioned the Railen would go into production in 2024. I would love to see how that ship is going to be updated to be usefull in the modern game. 2024 Invictus said that it wasnt going to be out this year. If the ship was in white box in May, then it wouldnt make sense for them to be so far along with a release so far away... UNLESS they intend to tease an updated model and features list at Alien week (which is a few days early this year apparently!?!)

Not playing at all. Master Modes just sucked the life out of flying around, which only leaves actually doing missions or checking out new content and the game is currently too buggy to do that. Master Modes has me genuinely concerned for the future of this game...

I’m 100% with you on this. I pretty much stopped playing for now. I really tried to give Master Modes a chance it really isn’t enjoyable to me. Used to fly to a bounty with a retaliator, slow down to launch a torpedo, then punch it on the way out. Just as the target pops in the rear view. Was so smooth. That feels so broken and disjointed now.

I'm just enjoying trying different loadouts in arena commander. Nice to try some weapons / configs you wouldn't usually touch without the massive time sink / risk involved in the PTU.

Get better Mike! I'm not playing much. I was grinding panels until I hit ~3M credits, then I swapped out the low HP components on my ships. Since then I haven't been playing much. Need to get in and check out distribution centers, but I was really wanting cargo missions to be a thing and that doesn't seem to be coming soon.

That Cargo update was never making it. If it's in by Fall, I'll be surprised.

Why put ANY effort into temporary events like Xenothreat and Jumptown. Fix base gameplay.

Mike I believe the multitool change thing just means you cant ads with it not that all guns will have an alt fire that uses RMB

Hopefully the xeno and JT event fixes are all about improving the code for server performance and meshing. I'm an eternal optimist!

Haven’t played in just over two weeks - waiting for 3.23.1a

I stopped playing two weeks ago when my C8R randomly exploded right after landing at a Distribution center, sending me right back to my home location. Tried to get into DCS in the meantime right on time for the ED/RAZBAM drama to hit.

I say keep working on zeno but set it to the side and push the cargo forward

Finishing up my thesis in a week. I haven't even played 3.23. I'm still hoping I can come back to a brand new experience

I picked up a Reclaimer in-game and have enjoyed it except for the crashing to desktop, 30k, server errors and losing my salvage to bugs.

Oh, I didn't know there were going to be freight elevators at outposts. My only concern is only one person can use it at a time and everyone else will just stand around and wait.

Hotfix for just the Cargo Bug was expected days ago.

Clearly CIG are having some major issues with the 3.22.2 patch to still not even be in Evocati. I’d sooner they take their time though, than release something too broken to test. What’s a bigger surprise is the broken 1a patch, with XT not working still.. suggests there’s some major underlying issues right now.

IDK why they don't just push out a sub-sub patch that fixes the duping issues, cause IMO they are high priority. Not just cause it fucks with the economy, but also because dozens of extra ships lying around spaceports just makes everything lag. They could push a separate patch regarding XT, JT, etc. later on.

I’m playing, but not long sessions. I drop in, do a couple of missions and leave. I’m doing about 30 minute play sessions

I'm not playing right now but that's not unusual for me. I'll probably check out 3.23.2 and then jump in more seriously again once 4.0 drops.

Wipes are a technical requeriment while they are still building the basic features of the game. Once, it was said the last wipe would come with the 4.0 but I'm not very confident they can have all the basic features until 1.0 They are reworking armors in 4 categories like Combat, Specialist, Heavy Duty, Utilitarian). I don't think they ban combos but it wouldn't make sense to wear a Heavy Combat Armor chest plate with a miner's helmet if its functionality gets nerfed. The armors no longer will be only to look cool. They said the combat armor would have more slots to carry grenades, ammunition and stuff, which means the civillian armors will have much less to carry weapons where they need to carry tools. As well they said the civillian armors could resist hazards like radiation, extreme freeze or extreme heat while the combat armor would instead resist physical impacts. IMMO I think all this new related to armors is fascinating. They aren't reworking the Multi-Tool, they are bringing the stuff of SQ42 into the SC.

Dude, just give me my news..... ; ) But srsly, no.. not playing with the lag and constant server resets with the invisible objects to crash into. I, too, am waiting for the next patch.

7:40 'caves do not have a lot of depth' I would say they do go pretty deep tho ha-ha… No, I agree. There isn‘t much to do in them other than mine and slaughter and that gets old rather quick.

I don't think that CIG is all that bothered about exploits because I'm sure they've already decided to do a full wipe in the very near future.

Not playing this patch; will play for the xenothreat thing just to get the reward (not like i'll ever use it, but whatever). After that i'll be waiting for the cargo update I guess. Not looking forward to dicking around with the new inventory or flight model to be honest, but what can you do?

Why? To cover up their incompetence that allowed a dupe exploit? I didn't use a exploit, so why punish me. Find a way to punish those that did the deed, not the innocent who worked their tails off to get back some credits from the last wipe.

still playing, but struggling with the server issues, and little glitches here and there--makes it less appealing to be on as frequently. But I've been spending a fair amount in timine learning to fly again with my new VKBs.

Cynical me says that that 3.23.2 is being held up by 3.23.1a. The rational being is that if they released 3.23.2 to Evo, the number of people playing the .1a patch would be severely impacted. Glad you are feeling better.

Yes, I am playing… the waiting game for 3.23.2

My drive to play is next to 0 with the uncertainty of a wipe and all the servers causing issues in all gameplay features it just feels like a job to try play.

Played in 2022 and came back 2 years in same issues no change

I want to be happyu about them putting some effort into the cargo missions but... once again they seem to be putting plans in place to punish those who dont finish something, before actually fixing the missions themselves again. Hopefully there are fixes coming to the mission itself PRIOR to this punishment starting. I am not playing right now in the middle of a pc upgrade but also waiting for the next patch

i dont exactly have proof but i think they screwed with how cargo works to force general players to do ship combat and engage in MM so they have testing data.

Still waiting. Even Starfield has become playable game after those mods, creations and DLC but still we have to wait for Star citizen.

To amswer . I'm checked out . Waiting on cargo . If it is super buggy then I'll wait for 4.0 .. prolly be checked out until 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 to be honest . That is likely when things will level out

It’s crazy to me that they haven’t prioritized pushing out the hotfix for the duping issues. The game is literally unplayable due to the server performance caused by the dupers.

Maybe for yourself but that does not apply to everyone in fact I've been playing fine the past few days and making millions busting up ships with friends in a reclamier. Most I've gotten is server error message once or twice than server recovered fine.

You know, I was bullish on Meshing this year... but it's starting to feel like that's gonna slip to 2025.

The current live game is abysmal at the moment. So much isnt working.

Scanning... with what? Why didn't CIG keep their promise of SCANNING VIA (swipeable) MOBIGLAS like they showed in all those adverts and marketing?

As i dont know where to see server fps. I never really know where to set my graphics.. one day its like ultra shitty the other is ultra fluid ... so i dont know if its the server or the area's cloud impacting performance...

Appreciate your input and knowledge man ...but I'm annoyed at this game ..I know everyone says it's in alpha..blah blah ..I hate that I spent money on it.

I am not playing anymore until.... I am not regretting my pledges by any means (BMM and Jav), just hard to have fun when I can't do what I like to do (trade - long haul routes) with the Hull C without bug hiccups that bankrupt you.

I’ll pack it in until they fix the atrocious flight model…
