Well, he IS the reason I just bought my Stanley cooking cup and this cooking pot! Got them off eBay, and I found the Cook Cup without the stupid, useless green cups. I love what it will become after applying these hacks to it, and to the cooking pot!
James, Stanley *really* needs to hire you on their design team to make a "Hobo Series" cookset!!!😁👍🏻

Spent a lot of time in southern Ohio down around Welston in a small community named Buyer Ohio. It’s no longer there anymore but we would ride 4 wheelers & take my little Bronco II back in a spot called The Richland furnace. It was absolutely beautiful down in the foot hills of the Appalachian mountains.

Great mods. I often use cut down wire coat hangers, most of which rust eventually, but a good source of stainless steel wire for this sort of job is replacement bicycle wheel spokes.

+1 on the bicycle spokes. They and damaged tire tubes for making ranger bands are usually free for the asking at most bike shops.

@@donalddicorcia2433 Yep, I bike and keep my old tube. Mountain bike tube makes a good sleeve for my Zippo lighter to waterproof it and slow fuel evaporation.

Seems the hole drilled for the added tab would work without cutting the rim and adding the tab and hardware. Bend the wire hook to be inside the pot then up and angle over to the handle. Maybe bring the hole up a bit higher and use a Z bend to go inside the pot.
