That is a clever lid hack,as for the egg cooking, pre heat the lid ,the egg will start cooking straight away, and can't run off. As long as the pan is level. Cheers

Nice tip. perfect size for cooking Hoe Cake. Hoe Cake: 2 parts corn meal, 1 part Instant "Just add water" Pancake Mix, salt, and enough water to form thick batter. The wheat gluten in the instant pancake mix is the binder for the corn meal since corn meal has no gluten. Just fry up like a thick pancake.

@@WayPointSurvival there's another idea that I used coat hanger for. When I used to hunt squirrels and rabbits I would make a close pin style and take the back feet together and run the wire through and then have it hanging on my belt loop or belt depending on the number of squirrels or rabbits I shot. See you on the next video!!

Got my set today!! They made some changes to my lid. The green tab is smaller and now sits on top of a metal D ring that looks great to stick a stick through. The recessed place in the top of yours has a dimple in mine where the D ring sits. No worries, I will grab a huge can lid and try to make my own frying pan that will fit inside the set.

Yes, you could do that.
you could just put the egg in the pot and put the cover on until the egg cooks both top and bottom. Then flip it on to a plate. use oil so it will not stick.
