One of my favorite Stanley Clarke tunes, classic
Clarke...Lu Ponty...Cobham and Corea....Young Folks pay attention...this is akin to watching...Jordan...Jabbar...Magic and Bird...on the same team...God Bless...My Favorites...
4 of the Best to share their talents in their musical instruments blending together . This blows the music away today this is true Talent. you notice they allow each other to express themselves in professionally matter. . Bringing out the best sound.
I admire Jaco, but I GET Stanley!
Amazing how much it still sounds great
this makes me truly happy
Jeff Beck was the lead guitarist on this album that came out after Stanley did a one man show that sold out for an entire week at Carnegie Hall where all he did was play a series of bass guitars. 😎
I’m drooling 🤤 right now! This is an incredible band!
How beautiful it is !!!
cobham wa the best drummer, really impressive, love his sound here, really amazing
This is definitely the sound of 'Fun'.
What a fantastic performance. I first heard Stanley Clark when he collaborated with Jeff Beck for a short period of time. Seldom heard on conventional radio but did hear it on FM underground radio. Love this!!!
This is crazy! This is the first time I've seen this clip and I love it.
We need a "Stan Cam" focused on his hands for the entire song!
Four of the hottest jazz artists at the time. Legendary pioneers all for all time.
Amazing!
a remarkable and pivotal piece. we used to listen to this on vinyl, back when it came out.
Now this is a Gem 💎
My goodness, it would have been wonderful to be alive in the 70s to be amongst a great collective of musicians like this.

Someone said the 70'S $5 to see the greatest band live in concert. 2000'S $100 to see a laptop...live 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Recorded in Chicago, for PBS affiliate WTTW Channel 11. The show was Soundstage. I still have my VHS copy of the entire show. Thanks for posting. :-)

Amazing music!
What a lineup🔥
It doesn’t get better than this, a lineup of supreme talent 😁👍🏻
This is classic and Stanley has been the man for along..... time creating a vocabulary on the bass like "no" other before or since.
I saw this Soundstage show on TV in '76 in Chicago. It was broadcasted from the WTTW Studios at Northeastern University. I lived for that show being a fusion freak, it was like a dream come true seeing it back then. It was the same year that I saw Return to Forever at the Arie Crown Chicago . . . on a double bill with Weather Report! Below is the 1 hour Downbeat Jazz Awards show. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pGWqm9OPYdmaXcY.html
Insuperables , todos Maestros
Great!!! Any combination of Billy. Stanley. Chick. And J luc. Are kidding me? Put Stanley and Billy together that’s all you need. I caught Stanley Chic Billy with AlDemiola who just got out of Berkley. Fantastic!

Incredible!
Super footage.
Stanley and Billy are the man Great group!
A very clean recording than I previously found! You don't know how long I've been looking for this very performance! I thank you! I saw this performance on pbs when I was 15 and loved this song. My brother played bass and could follow this song easy. Between this and the album, this is my all-time favorite version of the song. Once again, "THANK YOU"
Wow what a band!
this is awesome first live footage I've seen of him doing Lopsy Lu great musicians great upload
One of the ensembles that got me on drums - Magical!
Lov me some jazz!! Great job!!
And Jean Luc Ponty guys this you may have to play at my funeral of course keep your promise
Cob is nasty on drums! They sound sensational!
Billy Cobham should’ve been on the original recording of this tune, in my opinion.
Modern Jazz Legends.. excellent stuff.
Now that was fun to watch.
Fantastic!
Increible.
Such a band !!!!
