Very nice combo with great players (OMG) a young and swingin" Chick and Ron Carter in excellent upright bass form...great to not only hear, but see Bill and Company after having heard of them, but having not seen or heard them when I became emersed in JAZZ in Middle school!. Thnx so muchh for posting this video.

Jeff Beck was the lead guitarist on this album that came out after Stanley did a one man show that sold out for an entire week at Carnegie Hall where all he did was play a series of bass guitars. 😎

I saw this Soundstage show on TV in '76 in Chicago. It was broadcasted from the WTTW Studios at Northeastern University. I lived for that show being a fusion freak, it was like a dream come true seeing it back then. It was the same year that I saw Return to Forever at the Arie Crown Chicago . . . on a double bill with Weather Report! Below is the 1 hour Downbeat Jazz Awards show. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pGWqm9OPYdmaXcY.html

Interesting to note that the bassist Phil Upchurch was just as talented a guitarist as George Benson. Cool to see them together here.
