Not simply music but human communication on a level of emotional sophistication that conveys much we could never manage with mere words . It seems to me the original poetry must have been sung and accompanied.

I've been waiting for more people to react to this, thanks so much! I remember watching a voice teacher break down because it was so beautiful. Even though it wasn't his field of expertise, he was mainly touched by his incredible piano playing. I don't know much about the technicalities of either but I feel it deeply. Please please also watch "Love is the message" by Yussef Dayes, Mansur Brown, Alfa Mist and Rocco Palladino (son of legendary bassist Pino Palladino) it's one of the best modern Jazz pieces I've ever heard and I don't understand why it hasn't blown up yet. Much love from Germany!

I love Jacobs voice, demeanour and his muti instrument skills but his piano playing........ well, that really moves me, it’s as if he and the piano are one.

That is the family upright piano he grew up with and you can really here that coming through. No effort involved at all. Well there is, but it comes across as effortless.

Can you react to Home Is by Jacob?? I haven't found anyone that has done it and it might possibly the greatest opening to an album I've ever heard. Voces8 does such a fantastic job performing his piece, and his composition is gorgeous

Lovely! I'd love you to react to his solo piano covers from his 2022 tour - like this one, Queen's "Somebody to Love" kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXegmcGtiNaeYLw.html Freddie Mercury famously said people could do anything they liked with his music after he was gone - as long as they didn't make it boring! I think Jacob succeeded with this one...

You mean Billie Jean? That is so good. I showed it to my traditional Jazz snob dad and he finally opened up to modern Jazz Fusion and recognised that there's still badass talent out there.
