A Classic Fixx Tune from 1983. It was the groups debut hit from their 1982 CD SHUTTERED ROOM.The FIXX were a Five man band that originated from England UK ,they went on to have quite a successful career ,and put together a string of Hits such as Secret Separation,Saved by Zero,Red Sky's At Night and their biggest hit TOP 5 Smash One Thing Leads To Another. They still perform World Wide Tours with the Original Line-up.Cy Curnin on lead still can sing.

A song that makes me feel both excited and melancholy at the same time. Excited because it instantly takes me back to late ‘82 - early ‘83, which was an insanely great time for pop music. Melancholy, because it was never this good again.

The strange thing about living as a young person during the cold war is that we had a vague sense that it could all end at any minute. This gave life a certain meaning and urgency that seems to be missing today. Young people today don't have that anymore...even though technically, the risk of a sudden apocalypse still exists.

Ken, I was created in 1963(to west coast hippy parents)so did the 1967 onwards music thing. Late 80's i was a toddler then little kid, early to mid 70's was a kid to pre-teen, mid 70's to late 80's I was a teen then a young man and girls and all they brought enhanced the music at each period mid 70's onwards.
My favorite band of the 80's. They lasted well into the 90's too, and that was not easy to do in those days.
