I actually died from bleeding right at the end on top of the building after shooting Strelock and then blowout happened right after, i bleed out and died, then end cutscene and credits rolled, guess i beat the game, since the main character dies anyway, it doesn't matter how he goes out, lol.

As far as the lore goes, there's no mention at all of Scar past the point of the final emission - even during the brainwashing. Of course, t's possible that you're correct and the devs just didn't bother revealing it, though.

Well apparently I finished it, here's my solution the everyone in the same boat: uninstall all mods (the Complete mod breaks the game so I don't recommend it!), then download a cheat mod, you can get back all the stuff plus you can speedrun through it in 1-2 hours with the right items, then you can stop using it if you want to

​@@lufiprime2I recently played shadow of chernobyl and clear sky for the first time. I did a quick search for vanilla friendly mods and decided to go with zrp and srp. It has a lot of bug fixes and adds a function to do a new manual save by opening menu and just clicking "s" so I guess even if save would be corrupted you'd have plenty of other options. It's really good for the first time stalker playthrough.

I played the game on veteran from the start to the end. The first 10 hours was pain, and almost every bandit could oneshot me. Then I got over that barrier, got a new armor, and even some artifacts and I had a lot of fun...until I went to the last area in the game, and completed the game. I am certain things could have ended different, but at least this video helps me completly understand what went down here. Thanks!

Nice video man, I got so fed up with the last mission, I passed all the game on veteran difficulty until the last mission where I changed it to the lowest possible, I didn't have enough bandages and that grenade spam is awful, downloading CoP atm to playit

i know it's from a year ago, but you can equip fireball to cancel out the bleeding. seriously, i've stacked up like 30 bandages just at the endgame, because i had fireball equipped. and if you have no anti radiation artifact to balance it out, you can just pop it in for a few seconds to clear the effect and pop it out without any risk. it,s not only fireball; eye and mama,s beads have the same effect, although weaker and you can easily find them in the thermal anomalies. long story short: you can beat clear sky on hardest difficulty without using any bandages.

Same, i died to grenades more than bullets, i had all the ammo and no bandages or medkits and everyone i found i used because my health was low and any shot can instantly kill me

nothing to do with lore itself but I just finished the game on veteran and I have to express my pain, that last part (pursuing Strelok) is such a pain in the ass, even worse is that I kinda screwed up and went to Chernobyl with no armor (I was too lazy to return all the way to a trader without running cause I was too heavy) so those guys were literally oneshotting me most of the times. At some point I just dropped most of my stuff and started running and spamming Aid Kit until I could shoot Strelok. Still I enjoyed the game, I had a badass AN-94 with scope and silencer and really enjoyed my way through Limansk even though I got a bit lost (and those guys in the construction site were a pain in the ass). Can't wait to play Call of Pripyat :) Great video btw! I was confused with the timeline but your video cleared things up for me! +1 sub

Similar situation, i thought you would see a trader at least once more before the end but the game just takes you to the ending straight away. So i kept carrying a bunch of weapons (110kg) that i wanted to sell and never got the chance to do so. It would be great if you could free roam and explore the zone after the ending. That was the best part of the game imo

Just one thing that i never got, so how come no one know strelok in soc? And how did they get past the brain scorcher and all of that the first time around? Did ghost deactivate it and die, then when strelock tried to get to the center it was activated again so strelok had to do everything agaon like deactivate the brain scorcher during soc?

I felt so helpless playing this game compared to SOC I literally beat the game bleeding the whole time,still had the clear sky armor my whole playthrough as all my money got stolen by the bandits that one time and I never got it back And I hardly had ammo and all the enemies had crazy aimbot,grenade throwing skills of a baseball pro and all the guns in this game were absolute pea shooters 😂 What a game

When I was finishing CS I was in a conversation with a friend and I was fucking screaming because of the literal barrage of grenades, and my friend just asked me why I was screaming about grenades constantly, I told him I was playing stalker and he didn't know what it was, so told him it's a universe I love with all my heart, then reloading my save (was saving constantly because 5 feet was like 10 deaths) and I just screamed FUCK YOUR GRENADES, then instantly followed with don't mind what I'm saying the games are mostly great. I don't know why I remember this.

Clear sky is the most beautifull in the serie but the game is pretty boring... few delivery quests then 90% shooting large numbers of ennemies (bandits or monolith) in corridors or straight streets. The guns lack punch a lot and int the end when 10 monolith appears right into your face, it's just bullshiit difficulty. It is the less "open" and inspired of the STALKER serie and the most unstable of the serie ((Limansk crashed constantly, I had to do it 20 times to have one run without a crash) I did this game just to know more about the story... and the story is almost pointless and irrelevant... what a disapointment

on what I presume was one of the last sky bridges, I accidently fell off to the ground and this didn't kill me surprisingly. Before loading my save I decided to just have a walk towards the objective but from the ground, and Strelock was just standing there not doing anything ... so I just finished off the last of his health bar, and then the cut scene played .. so that was something

In my opinion, the ending is a bit different. You see, scaar dies from the final blowout and so does strelok(kinda). It is possible that SoC was just a misunderstanding. In the opening cutscene of SoC, sid finds strelok's PDA which read Kill Strelok. Well killing strelok was scaar's mission. Maybe, just mabe, strelok (as he was alive) managed to grab Scaar's PDA thinking it was his own before he was boarded on to the death truck. And now, strelok has amnesia, so he doesn't remember shit. Therfore, I can conclude that strelok was just misunderstood this whole time.

what makes you think it was scar's mission to kill strelok? you based that comment on the assumption that it was Scar's PDA that said kill strelok, but there is no hint to that anywhere?

It’s still a great game, but it just didn’t add something new. And there were parts where the “wires” showed too much, like infinite bandit spawning.

Its been a while since I've played so I hope I don't mess this up, but... It's a case of mistaken identity. the Monolith think that Ghost is Strelok and Strelok is Ghost. Ghost is already dead (and not the leader of the Monolith) but the Monolith don't know that. When they capture Strelok (who they think is Ghost) they brainwash him to kill Ghost (who is actually Strelok) so essentially they accidentally brainwash him to kill himself, BUT, since he can't remember anything, he's not aware of the fact that he IS Strelok, nor the fact that Ghost is dead. It's pretty confusing lol.

Man I was so excited to play this game but for some reason it just kept stuttering and crashing every time I set foot in the great swamp so I couldn’t play it

having to watch this because the cutscene is broken in the mission find fang's pda, i literally can't continue

It was much more playable with the SRP mod and actually made me want to finish it, I wouldn't slam the game as much as you do though..

The screen green bug is the deadliest antagonist in all the Stalker games

Cool, it’s the only one I haven’t played before I went on to play GAMMA. Just what I needed to fill in the gaps :)

I really wanted to finish this game but about halfway through I got to the escort mission where you have to get through the psi field. the main guy I was supposed to escort glitched after he climbed a wall and was stuck frozen. i couldn't figure out a way to continue the game afterwards.

my question was why did the scientist in the first game doesn't recognize sterlok? he called us marked one when he already met sterlok in the prologue.

Quite possible Strelok in CS always uses a gas mask, so the scientist can't know his face.

The Stalker Trilogy came out on Xbox awhile ago. I've beaten Shadow of Chernobyl, yet Clear Sky seems to be incredibly unstable and has crashed not only the game numerous times but my entire xbox hard crashes. So might have to skip Clear Sky and move on to Call of Pripyat. Thanks for uploading this explanation video on the story.

I fought through lamansk and the rest of the areas with half health and no healing…. It was a annoying end to clear sky glad I’m finished now time for cop then maybe I’ll try out anomaly or gamma but idk if my pc can handle lmao

Scar has an immunity to scripted (except the final one) emissions, because the zone "chosen" him like the Forester did. He also survived the big emission like Scar did, as he say himself. If you would stand outside of cover, it'll kill you. Strelok is brainwashed (not completely, just an amnesia) and brought to a death truck, which is the one that the thunder in the beginning of SoC hits. And when Strelok is rescued, Sidorovich name him The Marked One because of his "S.T.A.L.K.E.R Tattoo.

Scar tried to take out Strelok, but he was hit by an emission (same with Strelok). Strelok was "brainwashed" to take out "Strelok" (Ghost), but he would later end up in a death truck. Strelok is the protagonist from the first game. That's why he's still around in CoP.

Completed the game just now, had to look up ending explained since the last mission in Clear Sky didn't make me want to self harm unlike the SoC CNPP missions, Clear Sky wasn't as hard, long nor cheap as SoC, thus it felt really anticlimactic to me.

Just finished CS and I didn't understand the ending . Thank you friend. I agree it was a great game, but the main story was meh.

I actually loved Clear Sky, even preferred it to SoC. Everything was like SoC but better. The environments, atmosphere, the night and day cycles, the factions, the weapons, upgrading and fixing weapons, the bullet drop, finding artifacts, fighting mutants in the Red Forest at 3 in the morning, walking through radiation zones and feeling the absolute hopelessness of the Zone. Aaaand then i got that ending which felt so random. I was expecting to find some info about the zone, not chase Strelok while fighting monolith

What makes you think it's Ghost? I don't get it? So Marked One, who is tasked to kill Strelok, turns out to be Strelok himself, and that's the big twist of SoC - but wait, that's not the end, now in CS the Marked One, who turns out to be Strelok, actually turns out to be Ghost?! And that's the big twist of CS? Wtf? That doesn't make any sense, did I misunderstand something?

Because other people said their stories I might as well say mine I went through the first 95% of this game on master difficulty but once I got to the section where there's 20~ monolith members is where I physically gave up I couldn't take anymore and shot the game down to the lowest difficulty and beeline straight to the ending which confused me which is one reason I came here two that was hoping there would be more than one ending but there wasn't now I'm sad and disappointed that I did not had fun stop having fun once the bandit stole on my money and there was at that point where I just gave up and I was like fuck this game and I just tried to get to the ending but also being a master difficulty but like I said I just couldn't handle it anymore can't wait to play call of pripyat. :D A sort of a side but just find it funny just how accurate the gunshots and grenade throws of all enemies in this game is I can't believe I forced myself to go through so much of this game with that bullshit lol.

Can't play the game as it crashes past southern farmstead so I decided to watch this and ditch the game. Gonna play CoP.

After playing SoC, CS is a let down. The atmosphere is ruined by design choices, which makes you think how accidental the magic of SoC is. But it is a decent game and worth playing if you really enjoyed SoC, despite its many flaws.

Clear Sky was my favorite didn't like call of pripyat that much
