I like how Aaron Lewis is like "nah that's not how it happened, here's the real story" then proceeds to tell the story exactly how Wes Borland described it.

Wes is far from pretentious. Back in 2000, when all the girls were heading on the bus with the band, Wes was outside talking to the ugly kids. Gave me a beer and shared some stories from their roadtrip around the states

Wes is a legend. Aaron just needs to slow the drinking down.

It’s more like Aaron over stepped his boundaries and didn’t like when Wes corrected him by saying f*ck you. Aaron went on to publicly disrespect Wes and seeing as Wes was a contributing factor for Aaron’s success, it was a large (and ironic) slap in the face to Wes, as by Aaron doing that, he was literally dismissing where he gained his success from (forgetting where he came from).

Okay Aaron Karen Lewis.
Aaron is a good musician, he's a good multi-genre artist. Though I must say Wes blows him away on guitar, its also a fact that Fred from LB discovered them [staind] and put them on his label. So bottom line hearing privileged artists bitch about their personal drama just makes him look small...kinda like when artists talk politics.

They are both telling the same story. Yes. Exactly. This is exactly what people mean when they say there are 3 sides to every story. They each have a snobby interpretation of what happened. It’s the same story but with 2 different spins in it. I will say that Aaron Lewis did say that Wes and Fred are the reason he’s even on stage. So douche or not, Aaron did acknowledge that.

this is something i have been through before. even my wife gets mad when i say i’m from the little town i came from even though we now live in a bigger town not far from the town “i’m from” its funny how a lot of people ask where you are from and you say something besides where you currently live and they are like “what?” i will always be from that little town no matter what. another thing though is that officially being that wes lives or lived in LA, he was in fact going home, meaning where he lives not WHERE HES FROM. anyway, a matter of semantics really, nothing to fight about.

It's common knowledge Wes has severe ADHD that at one point had to be controled with dexadrine. When it's THAT bad they dont have the ability to pick up on social cues and other people's intentions. Aaron made a dickheaded joke and Wes's mind (and possibly some projection on Wes's part) turned it into something way WAY bigger than what it was. Aaron literally admits that Fred and Wes are the reason Staind got as big as they were 20 years ago - he would never intentionally disrespect Wes. The likely scenario is Wes was embarrassed that Aaron saw him in such a princess diva scenario and the comment about his roots ruminated and fucked with him for days when in reality it was a harmless joke. Classic ADHD.

Lol Wes 😂
Aaron meant the comment in a good way, but Wes took it the wrong way, *and I'm a Borland fan. That's all it was. Geeshhh, these "Men" sound like middle school girls, worse, actually! Aaron was probably drunk, par for the course, when he ran into Wes, decided to pontificate about Wes calling L.A. his "home" and Wes thought or felt Aaron was putting him down for being from Jacksonville. I live here in Jax, worked as an executive at the local Alt Rock station in Jax at the time, seen L.B. multiple times in many local bars and clubs before hitting it big. Whereas Fred is very proud of being from Jax, Wes, isn't so much proud of that. Plus, Wes, is actually from Nashville where he lived with his family before moving to Jax. So this is the truth and Yes, Jacksonville sucks but people gotta live somewhere, goddamit.

You just said what Wes said you said. Home is where you live. I'm from Wales but home is in England. Big deal. Aaron is so pretentious to tell people where their home is.

Staind didn’t even write there first album, I no for a fact 2 songs that were stolen as I no the original composing band.. who has the originals on cassette tapes still. The only thing stains changed was the lyrics over the instrumental parts. So knowing for a fact they stole 2 I wouldn’t doubt they stole more music from other unfortunate artists 🤣

Dude he was way cooler before his country album. I mean I dig it but him trying to be country is weird.
I don’t get why he is so angry about someone saying that he is heading home when he is actually heading home. I mean did he expect him to say something like „oh I am heading to the place where i am living for the past decades but you know I wouldn’t call it home because home is always where I was original from and not where I spent the most of my life“. And because he called it home he went public calling him a m-fxxxx? I really don’t get it 🤣. Is this an American thing ?
I might be down with Wes on that particular situation - you call 'home' wherever the fuck you decide to live. But the fact that both of these 40+ guys discuss that petty argument publicly and call each other names, is really pathetic. I'm so disappointed with Wes, also for his comments on Dream Theater. I might even agree with them, but it's so unclassy for him to make such comments about his colleagues from industry publicly. I always considered him that 'reasonable' part of Bizkit, but he turns to be more of a douche than Fred. C'mon Wes, give me a reason to take that back.
