For me Borland is on of the greatest guitarist I know! He has is own style, not like every musician these days... Just go listen to every delay parts in LB songs, or riffs like Hot Dog, Gold Cobra, My Generation bridge, and more and more... Proud to like that kind of artist who's playing music for him and fans and not only for money and popularity!

Well deserved award. His riffs are recognisable from the very first note. I always admired the sheer power Wes (and the band) can deliver and how everything serves the actual song. Whenever I saw them playing, there were all the other bands doing their angry stuff (most of them sounding like each other) that was okay and entertaining and so on - but when LB hit the stage, man it was like a raging rhino went through the brains of the audience, they went totally berserk. All the time. And it doesn't matter if it was early 2000s or in 2018. Energy is energy, regardless of trends coming and going.

Wes seems like a really good guy. Would never guess by watching this guy here that he was the same person I used to watch back in 98. Seems like a normal guy well spoken and mature. People just grow up , sometimes.

Wes....I'm so with you.... its like a push and pull syncopation between the bass, drums and guitar. I am 61, been playing guitar most of my life and just found you.....It is amazing how much I identify with what you do and the sound pallet you use to express you musical soul. AND.......Without any doubt, you are the most visually creative musician I have ever seen.....amazing. Thank you!!!! Are there any plans to tour in 2021? Do you guys have meet and greet tickets? Dude.....new fan, deep adoration, blown away.....and extremely intelligent. it is obvious to me that he is hyper aware and clear headed..... Big Borland Fan Here!!!!!

Some people are saying that Borland is humble. Perhaps. I would say that Wes Borland is authentic. Honest to himself, honest about himself. Which makes it worth listening to him. I am always willing to listen, when Borland speaks in an interview. And I suspect that many people are feeling this way about him.

Wes's weird tapping and scraping... The droning repeating melodies that were inspired by Les claypool... The huge simple epic riffs. He is the riff God and the riff master. It wasn't Fred it was Wes that was the main driver for limp Bizkit's success!

Eckhart V I was a teenager when LB was all over the radio and I used to think Fred was a cool dude...and honestly he was a great frontman but then you grew up and notice his lyrics are weak as fuck....the band always sounded good. Fred should had hire a ghost writer or something....he never evolved.

  • @VenomousHigh

Frankly, and I say this as someone who recognizes that Durst can't write very well, the band would have gone nowhere if it weren't for him. Not just because he was the perfect face to attach to the band in the '90s, but because many of the decisions and directions that took the band to the height of popularity were ultimately made by him. Wes was a major part of the sound (as evidenced by how weak Results May Vary was compared to all of their other albums), but Fred was the one who orchestrated things and kept the band moving forward.
