Join Anna and Alf in this video as they visit ST TRILLO'S CHAPEL in RHOS IN SEA , NORTH WALES, UK which is according to THE NATIONAL CHURCHES TRUST the SMALLEST CHURCH IN THE UK but with the biggest view ... of the sea !
The Chapel is named after the 6TH CENTURY MONK called ST TRILLO when he started a cell here in the 6th CENTURY and it sits over a natural Spring.
It appears that St Trillo lived as a hermit at this site sometime between 570 and 590 AD. He was buried on the holy island of Bardsey off the coast of Wales.
ST TRILLO'S ANCIENT CHURCH is the smallest in THE BRITISH ISLES and in this video Anna shares some history of the small plain stone roofed building that sits on the promenade of RHOS ON SEA and still holds communion services weekly . She also teaches some Welsh language.

What an amazing little chapel. I do like learning the history of unusual and interesting chapels and this one is quite fascinating. I did like the animated bird that flew backwards! More great Welsh words as well. Bonus!

A teeny little church and a smaller than usual video -- totally makes sense! This may be the smallest church, but it still looks pretty awesome to us! Like you said, little church but BIG view! Heck, we wouldn't mind living there 😍

Bore Da, that is so beautiful Anna. And so old, must have been one of the oldest in Wales as well as the smallest. Having its own well for christenings is cool - even though it was originally a pagan site. Interesting that it used to be a marshy area but now a beautiful beach. Gorgeous site!! It may be the smallest church, but it has got one of the best locations and views! It was fascinating hearing about the history of the church, and that there was a pagan church in that spot before then. How wonderful this beautiful, historic building has been so well preserved. Wow! What an incredible little chapel! It really is so tiny and can’t get over how old this is. Love the stonework and that it’s facing the water, so lovely! Only 6 people can sit? Wow! Hi guys it's a great place and had it's origins in the 6th century with St Trillo who built his cell here which would probably been all made out of wood originally and the well from then is still here inside the church that he used . The exact date of this particular full structure is unknown . Its a fascinating building with so much history and yes it's well taken care of. Thanks so much for watching :) Have a great week :)

I love this tiny church 🥰 Of all places I visited in Asia and Europe, I must say I love this kind of stone building the most. No need to decorate much and just flowers they’re really cute for me. Wow there’s a natural spring there also 😻 There’s one in my hometown, but only for drinking. In our home city we have 1 place people can go and bath in hot spring, very lovely 🥰

What a fantastic location for a chapel and the roughly pointed stones of 19th C. rebuild keeps a rustic character, as if an inspired group of pilgrims had put it together. Fine weather for your visit too.
