Great work! I must confess a slight difficulty with respect to the fomes and debitum remotum. It seems to be a mostly metaphorical, seeing that both the fomes during the procreative act and the state of the conceived body results from man's natural principles. So here we're speaking of a theological formality, inasmuch as without the Fall, conception would occur without them, making the inheritance of original sin *fitting*? Would you agree with this formulation?

Ok. We need the quotes by Scotus where he denied that the debt of original sin is purified at conception, and that at the animation (the popular word would be, ensoulment) he concede that the soul is purified.

People aren't listening to what you said. There's clearly a distinction between the stain of original sin and the penalty of original sin. To say that Mary was preserved from the latter is literal heresy. It would be saying that Mary couldn't/didn't suffer.

My only question then is why did Dominicans receive it after the fact as if he did and oppose those like Scotus?

It was never universal. As I said, there were always thomists within the OP that defended the position I laid out. It is also important to note that to have even 1/10 of St. Thomas’ corpus was rare before the critical editions of the 16th century, so making an informed judgment before the Baroque period was nearly impossible.
