De nada from the son of an Irish immigrant to America. Los Batallon de San Patricio's makes me very proud to be Irish among other things. I'm so proud of them fighting for Mexico against the Anglo Imperialist invasion of Mexico. Viva Mexico y Erin go Bragh!!

My parents were from Mexico andI was born in the U.S. It makes me happy to see there is a kinship between Mexico and Ireland. They both fought against tyranny.Long live the San Patricios!

about 300,000 mexicans are descendants of irish catholic people, also here in Mexico we celebrate Saint Patrick's day for two reasons, 1.- saint patrick is a catholic saint, 2.- because we remember those irish men that fought against yankees in 1847

Because of the Saint Patrick's batallion... during the Mexican American war, Irish defectors fought with Mexico against the United States. They are considered heroes in Mexico and that's why Mexicans celebrate Saint Patrick's day, to honor the saint Patrick's batallion... Mexico is eternally grateful to the Irish who fought along side them and honor them every year during Saint Patrick's day... a key figure was the leader of the batallion John Riley...

Fitzwilliam Darcy México si ganó esa guerra, que se haya maquillado y hacerse ver lastimera es otra cosa, los yankees si fueron expulsados de la ciudad de México. Winfield Scott mandó un mensaje de auxilio al presidente Polk de que la situación era insostenible. Los territorio no los robaron, se los regalaron políticos traidores como Valentín Gomez Farías, que era el presidente de México y Lerdo de Tejada. SantA Anna fue un héroe, pero en el gobierno de Juarez se le hecho toda la culpa, como chivo expiatorio, cuando él no firmó el tratado Guadalupe Hidalgo. Así lo han dicho historiadores ecoceses e irlandeses como Will Fowler. La historia de México está maquillada para lucir humillada, y no fue así. The irish refused to kill women and children on behalf of u.s. the mexicans were catholic. The irish were treated like shit. And the irish said we wont fight for u. And joined mexico and native americans. They fought battles against the u.s. on behalf of mexico. And we honor them as true warriors and brothers. They r mexican/native. They r family.

I went to Ireland last year with my sister we saw no Mexicans no Mexican restaurants just Irish food and white people but this video is great I do not know that they celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in Mexico when I watch this video I do not see no Irish food being made

Segun cuenta la historia, que en aquella Invasión y Guerra de Estados Unidos contra México que duró dos años, de 1846 a 1848 y en donde perdimos casi la mitad de nuestro territorio, El Batallón de San Patricio (los Irlandeses que se unieron a México para combatir al invasor yanki), y el Batallón de San Blas del Ejército Mexicano, ambos Batallones, fueron los que causaron más bajas a los gringos a lo largo de la guerra, por todo esto, yo no entiendo porque ningún gobierno Mexicano les ha dado la honra que ellos se merecen, por lo menos un desfile anual en recordación de los Irlandeses que dieron su vida por una Patria que no era la suya, y únicamente lo hicieron por un llamado de sus consciencias
