SsangYong Korando e-Motion Range Test | Recharging ⚡️

A Ssangyong is not a car brand that you drive or even see every day. Like many they are transitioning to EV's. So how far can their first EV go on one state of charge?

    What if max consumption is blocked to 30kWh/100km and the display is not showing anything above?

    Nah it is not blocked. I have seen number greater than 30.0.

    And this is why electric cars are not feasible in bigger countries like Australia just yet..... 200 Kilometres would not even comfortably get you from Newcastle to Sydney sitting on 110km/h (the speed limit). This is not just a SsangYong problem. Most cheaper EVs have terrible range. Only useful in Europe where there is less geographical distance to travel. Sure, Teslas and the like have greater range....but you pay for it.

    It did more on slower speed. 300km is a decent range for charge stops. For Aussies that do long distance 77kWh would be fine enough to get 350-400.

    How was the charge speed and curve?

  • @Recharging

    @Recharging

    The curve is very decent. It has a maximum charging speed of 80kW. Until 73% is slowly slows down to around 70kW. After 73% there is a big drop to around 40kW if I remember correctly.

    @@Recharging Still a thing with those Chinese import models. They don't alter them for European charging speeds. Xpeng same issue.

    @@RedBatteryHead If you are referring to Ssangyong being Chinese made then you are wrong.

    @@robertbutler8004 i know it Korean. The GBlt plug /standard they use isn't on par with CCS.
