Mechanically, it sounds and works fantastic. But the exterior choices are just god awful; it reeks of rice with the rims, spoiler, grille and the Lambo doors

Dodge built the best sounding V10 in my opinion. I’m more of a V8 guy, but my goodness, this Viper V10 sounds just as brutal as a big-block V8.

​@@keenan4795 If he was a hardcore V8 guy, why would he prefer the high rev scream of the LFA vs the brutal and borderline chaotic sound of the viper? They both sound incredible, and most people definitely would prefer the LFA but they're at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Love the 'Cuda styling, the rims need to go though.

Amazing concept but absolutely disgustingly styleed on the exterior. I'm sorry but those wheels looks straight out of Camden New Jersey in the hood i.e. crack dealer. the candy paint is fine but for the love of God get rid of those wheels and horrific spoiler. It's downright shameful the amount of man-hours and engineering put into this to be completely ruined. If this is a customer build however all I can do is shake my head

I'm interested doing this build, what did you have to do to make it fit?

would the trans hold up to this being turbo charged?

Is the 8.3 truck V10 that much different from the actual 8.4 viper car v10?

How well does it launch with that truck transmission

You need to support all the heavy weight of the v10 in front and support the front and back chassises with bars , lose the lambo doors and wheels and side stickers , great job I prefer the more aggressive look , but after all not all tastes are the same . What year is the engine from ? First or second generation viper ?

I am assuming this would work on a 2012 Chrysler 300 also? If so, how much would the engine swap cost (parts+labour) be? Can I keep the same transmission (8-speed) or does that need to be changed too? Thanks

It would be very expensive, there are no adapters made for the ZF trans to bolt up to the V10. The least expensive is to bolt a GM TH400 with an adapter plate if you want to keep it automatic. Parts and labour could go north of 60k no problem.

Joe Dirt we used the transmission that came with the engine, and the car had the auto shifter which we were able to adapt to the trucks 4 speed.

Do you have a step by step on what all you ordered and put in for the swap.

We had to cut a hole and make a pocket for the neutral start switch on the left side of the tunnel. All the mounts are custom fabricated with Viper car engine isolators and a trans mount from a Chevy TH350 :)

Love this build! Love the resto-mod look too. So funny, it's a modern version, with classic design ques that actually give it a flashback feel, but with a modern restored look. Confusingly cool!!! And that SOUND❤️❤️❤️❤️ Great job fellas.

Score another one for good engineering! But how powerful is this car really? Out of curiosity I would really love to know more about this car.

I think I had completely forgotten that these engines output right around that much power from the factory but the fact that you were able to get this engine into that car is awesome.

V10 challenger is amazing But.... You completely annihilated the poor thing with the riced out looks and horrendous rims.

@@Highlander1432 They said it's 550hp and that's probably baseline, now to the rear. I'd say it's upwards of 450-480 to the wheels maybe less due to the drivetrain swap not really being meant for the Challenger. A booster 6.1 would definitely beat it, simply because it's newer, more powerful and the components are built perfectly for the Challenger's specs and made for the car. The V10 in a challenger is a cool concept, but a scat pack nowadays would come close to this thing and let's not even mention a hellcat vs this thing.

@@husky3g Yes exactly it's an awesome concept and damn shame it wasn't a production SRT10 back in 2008 but today's 6.4 Challengers would probably spank it. Now the Viper V10 is very responsive to mods. Heads and Cam would put it well over 600 whp with proper fuel and tuning

Without any emissions and a custom tune we estimate around 560hp

What exactly is the point of putting that motor in that car I respect the Viper and its engine in every way but the Challenger already had a badass engine some tuning and some bolt-on parts would have been the same amount of horsepower and torque

John Castillo My thoughts exactly. Get rid of the decals, Lamborghini doors, throw a set of viper replicas on it and wipe all that green from the interior and it would be a bad ass ride.

I'd rather the Hemi anyday, these v10s never sounded good at all. Much more aftermarket support for the Hemi too. This is kinda like going backwards in my opinion.
